NEW ZEALAND STYLE SHORTS- ELASTIC WAIST, COTTON, POCKETS

Upon 1st impression, the shorts are an excellent product. Material is excellent, colors are like the pictures. But I developed a problem with the elastic and draw string combination..I put them on, and initially they were very comfortable and good looking. But after an hour or two they began to slide down. I did tighten up the draw strings, but short of putting a permanent "granny knot" in them, this adjustment did not last. I ended up using suspenders, something I had hoped the well built elastic waist band would have not required. In fairness, I am heavy, but i have other shorts where the elastic is sufficient.

As another reviewer mentioned, these shorts run a bit on the small side, and I might have ordered one size larger. The material is thick but rough, even after washing a few times - it has a stiff "hand" as some might say. Another thing that makes these somewhat uncomfortable is there is not much give in the elastic waist - very little in fact. These shorts might be good for playing sports or work, but they are not really comfortable for everyday wear around the house.

My husband usually wears shorts with a short inseam....these are very difficult to find since he doesn't want the nylon type running shorts. These shorts fit as expected and seem to be of good quality. The issue is that the fabric is very stiff....not comfortable. This improved very slightly after washing(s), but still not comfortable.

Had to give 4 stars only due to their sizing inaccuracy. Always do a 36 waist but no way for these, so I returned for exch for a 38. Still waiting; we'll see. Should have read another comment about being cut small and ordered 38 to start. They truly are "professional grade" shorts - cut nicely and sturdy as well as sharp looking. Maybe a bit pricey though.

This is a good product that comes as advertised. The service from the company is great. They run maybe one or two inches smaller in the waist than I expected, but still fit just fine. The extra rubber in the waist really keeps the jersery tucked in well. If you ref, the pockets are deep and run to the bottom of the leg so it will keep your wallet secure. Also, they don't restrict movement at all. Def would buy again.

They just didn't fit, but they were excellent. Good quality, heavy duty fabric. Would have worked for what I wanted, just need to have more butt room.

Perfect fit, good design, great quality.

Do not buy unless you like really short shorts made of boat canvas. you can stand them up in corner when not wearing them.
