Excellent 6 axis gyro! Amazing bang for the buck! This thing really works perfectly! Easy to setup and program too. I literally had it installed, and programmed in under 10 minutes! Worked perfect in the first flight! Shipping was fast too! Best gyro on the market in this price range! I've used it on little 3d planes, to huge edf jets. Definitely worth every penny! It holds perfectly in a good windy situation. Plane flies straight as an arrow regardless of wind. Also has an awesome fool proof, trainer mode, and also had excellent 3d position home, and hover settings! It can do it all!

These are a great addition to almost any RC airplane that is 800mm or larger. The instruction manual is a bit of a challenge and it takes a bit to get things figured out. It was obviously not written by a native english speaker and uses ambiguous terms like "normal mode". However, once I did get everything working I have found these to be invaluable and they have saved several expensive airplanes from crashing. I now put them in most of the new airplanes that I buy. I would have knocked off a star for the manual -- however at this price point they are a real bargain and worth some tolerance. The reviewer who claims additional hardware is required is mistaken. Everything you need to program it from a PC is in the box. The OPTIONAL field programer is OK but I did not find it particularly useful. I only program mine from a PC now.

Pretty straightforward to install and program. Fits well on both of my EDF aircraft and wiring is not that bad. I'm a beginner on foam airplanes and needed this gyro due to the wind conditions where I fly. It definitely helps stabilize the aircraft.

I have two HobbyEagle A3 Super 3 gyros installed in two different RC plane models: Conscendo Evolution (1.6m wingspan, 3S 2200 LiPo) and VolantexRC Ranger 2000 (2m wingspan, 4S 5200 LiPo). Both planes got practically the same types of issues: everything works fine first 10-15 minutes of the flight, but then the behavior of the plane becomes weird. The plane starts flying like a drunk, slowly yawing, delaying its reaction to my commands, and even getting stuck in some position totally ignoring the commands. Once Conscendo abruptly pitched down to the ground like a kamikaze. Another time it stalled ignoring any commands. Furthermore, in one case when Volantex fell down due to such weird yawing, I found ailerons getting stuck in their up/down limits, and I could turn them back to the neutral position only after switching gyro modes a few times.Analyzing all these cases I became suspicious concerning the level of power, thinking this weird behavior starts when there is a lack of power. So today I made a test flying Volantex at minimal motor speed with flaperons trying to spend power very slowly. But within 15 minutes of the flight, the plane started yawing again. It was very hard to control the plane while landing and it almost crashed. When I checked the battery, it had 4V on each cell (77% of power). Also, I remember when I got the same issues after 10 min of the flight, after changing to the fully charged battery.As a result, I'm planning to look for a better gyro because I've tired spending weeks repairing my planes after every "strange" landing because of this gyro's bugs.

The product appears to be good but I was unable to use it due to lack of information from the suppler Qwinout. I sent them a e-mail requesting help on April 15 and just received their reply today April 25. I returned the item and already have got my refund.I do a lot of business with Amazon and am very happy with there overall service but do not believe they are set up to handle a high tech product like this.Gary Hollyfield

This is a sweet little flight controller. It is more than just a Gyro, very easily programmed and works great. Put these in all my EDF Jets.

Works great! Easier to program and works just the same as Spektrum. At a fraction of the price. I use one in all my jets

The media could not be loaded.  It caused my Avios Albatross to suddenly nose dive on take off after having many successful flights without any problems (April 6, 2021). Hobbyeagle's latest firmware update (V2.5) says that they solved this issue. Although a little too late for me. So I updated my entire fleet, thinking this and other issues had been fixed. Flew my brand new Freewing Avanti S 80mm with 4 successful flights (June 20, 2021). Next day (no crazy aerobatics, just level flight around the pattern), after two passes, the plane suddenly flipped upside down and nose dived into the ground destroying my $400 jet. I had ZERO control to try and recover. Flight mode was set to LEVEL flight. Did not lose signal and battery still had 3.87V/cell remaining. I have since removed this gyro from all of my airplanes. Use at your own risk! HobbyEagle has zero support and does not respond to e-mails.
