Vincent Van Gogh - Vase with Irises - 14oz Coffee Mug

I can't comment on how this mug will hold up to microwaving, dishwashing, or every day use since I bought it as a Christmas gift to give to someone else, but I can tell you that the mug is beautiful. It's colors are so vibrant and the artwork is so beautiful I was tempted to keep it for myself. My favorite thing about this mug is the fact that the design is on the handle as well. I also like the size, it isn't huge but it's definitely above average size and could be used for soup

Within a few weeks of receiving the Iris mug by Chaleur, it developed two interior cracks, causing it to drip. The firs crack wasn't so bad, but the second crack caused near constant leaking [ASIN:B002C42B8G Coffee Mug: Van Gogh Vase With Irises]] It is no longer usable except as an ornament. I have bought another in the hopes that the first one was an anomoly and the second won't break so easily. It said it was microwave proof, so I used it in the microwave. If that was not the case, it should have said so.

I have used the Chaleur "masters collection" mugs for years happily replacing them with they break or chip and are no longer usable. I ordered this one and it was received with the image applied backwards....... the most notable area is the signature which shows as a mirror image of "Van Gogh". I do not know if this will affect the wear of the image - they all fade after repeated dishwasher washings (which are not recommended).

Some of my older coffee mugs had broken, and I purchased three "famous painting" mugs on Amazon.com to replace them. This mug, like the others, is large and sturdy, can be microwaved and dishwasher cleaned, and makes me smile with my cuppa. It is definitely worth the price.

What a gorgeous mug!!! I actually owned a mug exactly like this over 10 years ago. My young son accidentally broke it. Back then I couldn't find another to replace it. When I recently began shopping for a special mug for myself, I could not believe my eyes when I spotted this on Amazon! I didn't believe it would be the same, heavy, sturdy and well-made gorgeous mug as the one I had 10 years ago. I ordered it anyway because it is so pretty. Surprise! It IS every bit as sturdy & well made as the mug I previously owned. I LOVE THIS MUG! Thank you Amazon for carrying the extensive line of beautiful mugs that you do. I will be back for more to add to my collection.

The Vase With Irises coffee mug is the one I reach for every morning. It's the right size for a good dose of wake up and the right heft with a spacious and comfortable handle. There's something about the artwork that makes this mug feel good and the beverage inside taste equally so. It works well in the microwave to heat up a tepid cup or prepare hot liquid for tea. I broke this mug some years ago, reordered a replacement for myself, and this holiday season gave it along with three others in the series as family presents.

Of all the Chaleur Van Gogh mugs, this one with the irises is my favorite. These mugs are very well crafted and this one is slightly larger than most, allowing me to indulge in a sizable portion of my tea before a refill.

We have used this mug for several years, dish washed hundreds of times and still in good shape. Pretty sure we microwave with it as well and no problems.
