Get this book... eh !
Wow... F-n wow. If you know who Bruce Bennett is you know you need this book.If you don't, you should because you know his work.Anyone that has had even a passing interest in hockey over the past 4 decades will have memories ignited when the flip through this book. Images that are burned into your head, which you think are some hockey memory of your own, might be shown to be a moment that he captured and you ended up connecting to even more than your own actual memory of it.It's a strange phenomenon... But I was at at least 30 of the games that this book includes and in most of those I can recall more about his picture than I can of the actual game itself. It's amazing... too bad it's titled "Hockey's Greatest Photos" because I know he has another 246 or so in him out of the 2 million he has to choose from.. .but a followup would have to be titled "Hockey's Other Greatest Photos" and it doesn't have the right ring to it. But even a book of also-rans would likely be better than just about any hockey photo book that would be released outside of being chosen directly from the archives of the HHOF.This book is a must have.

Hockey's Greatest Photo - coffee table book
I bought this book for a friends birthday. He doesn't go anywhere without some form of hockey endorsement product like a hat, jersey, t-shirt or other product. He loves the Sabres and there's a really cool picture of (2) well known celebrities at a Buffalo game. I won't spoil the surprise by telling you who they are.The pictures consist both of action and still shots. The photography is incredible. I highly recommend this to any casual or hard core hockey lover.By the way, my friend loves the book.

Amazing book, Amazing Photographs, A Great Gift Idea
Holy Cow what a phenomenal book! If there's one hockey book you buy this year make sure it's this one. When both the great Wayne Gretzky and Martin Brodeur BOTH take the time and effort to write a forward for a book you know you are in for something special - and this book does not disappoint. Incredible photographs spanning decades of hockey's most memorable moments. I'm ordering two more for Christmas gifts!

Outstanding Pictures!
Great book, iconic as well as candid shots of players in thexcoolest sport on the planet. Many of the pics you'll recognize, some are new. While there is a little too much of Crosby (this IS a Canadian book, can't help but follow the party line!), nevertheless a great addition to ant fan's library.

Worth the price
Images mostly from the modern era. A few good ones of Makita, Gordie, Bobby Hull, LePlante and the like, but the best shots are of the Islanders dynasty, and the years that follow. There is one shot of Brooks on the bench that captures so much of his character.

The action photos capture the faces of some of the greatest players ever
These photos are legendary. Bruce brings you into the action, the behind scenes and personal side of hockey in his photography. My personal fave is the Potvin check of Lafleur. The action photos capture the faces of some of the greatest players ever. Mr Bennett thanks for sharing. I bought 2.

Disappointing
Sorry everyone loved this book but I had problems with it. If you lived on the East coast this book is perfect--tons of photos of the Rangers Islanders and the Devils but not to many photos from Detroit to the West coast. I was really looking forward to this book but I was disappointed.
