The Disney Book: A Celebration of the World of Disney

My nephew loves this book. I bought it for his birthday to get a head start reading up for a visit to Disney World this year. He is autistic. Books and film are his passions. The animation film cut is such a great addition. I didn't expect it to have so many collectibles listed. For an avid Disney collector I think it's a must have. It is so nice, I'm thinking about buying a second one for myself.

I did return this but only because I was looking for something more adult driven. This book would be great for children.

This was a gift for a friend, and it is a really awesome book, it even came with an original film strip from the movie Brave. Each page is filled with so much detail and information about everything Disney. It is perfect for any Disney lover out there. It is bound super well, and doesn't seem like it will come apart very easily. It is a very high quality product and should stay in good condition for a very long time. I am very pleased with this product.

Lots of pictures I’ve never seen before and I have lots of Disney books! Cool timeline with each year covering the projects done that year is helpful too! Great for any Disney fan young or old.

As a big Disney fan (along with countless millions of others), my main concern was whether there would be enough new visual material that was not duplicated by other books. Thankfully there are, from films (both animated and live action) to disney pins, to theme parks and (as they say) much more. I'm sure that many of us can find omissions (no Figment and Dreamfinder?) but maybe there will be a Volume 2 someday.There's also Jim Fanning's writing style. It feels more like Jim is chatting with you and that brings a warmth to this endeavor. But not to mislead you, the book is from DK and that means that you will have many more images than words so this is a book to view more than to read. The lAmazon discount makes this an easy purchase to start or add to one's Disney book collection. And the film frame from Brave is a nice touch as well.

Perfect if you know anyone who’s a Disney geek or nerd

This is an outstanding book! It has wonderful pictures, delightful commentary and tons of trivia! Love the "Brave" actual film snipet in the front! It is a must have for any Disney fan! While my 5 yr old can't read yet, she loves looking at the pictures and asking me what everything says. My 14 yr old loves all the trivia! My sister loves the history the book contains. Defintely a high quality book that will be treasured for years to come!

I got this book as a birthday present for my daughter. She's a big Disney fan and she said this was a lovely surprise for her and that it's all very interesting. She says she likes looking at all the pictures too and that some of her favourite films are in this book. She'd recommend this to any Disney fan.

This beautiful book richly deserves all the praise it gets. Alas, its five stars notwithstanding, there is one bitter pill to swallow. Song of the South is not even mentioned in the timeline (where even Victory Through Air Power is not omitted) and neither is one of the first Disney Princesses, Peter Pan's Tiger Lily, together with her people. Ah, the intransigence of political correctness aka censorship! Still, a book well worth acquiring.
