Marble Paper towel holder
I had my kitchen remodeled and this paper towel holder matches my counters perfectly. It is a beautiful addition to my kitchen. I was worried that it would be too light and would fall over but it is very sturdy as well.

Best Anniversary Gift Ever!
Wow, when my GF and I discussed gifts for our 1 year anniversary, there is no way she ever imagined I'd be giving her this marble beauty! She loves marble, and prefers paper towels on a holder of some kind to make them look classier on the table. For my part, I hated the metal one we had and the noise it made. So finding this perfect gift had me feeling like I had really nailed the whole anniversary gift thing! Don't worry, in the days leading up to our anniversary, I let her know I had found the perfect gift that she would never be able to top. Now, my confidence may have waned slightly when she gave me a book on all the things she loved about me, but knowing that after I read aloud the details of how she fell in love with me over 26 handwritten pages, I would get to hand her a wrapped marble paper towel holder... well, you can imagine how proud I felt! I was definitely smiling from ear to ear, and my face was bright red, which I'm assuming was me beaming with joy! Now, would I recommend you buy this lovely paper towel holder for your special someone? It is decidedly so! It looks fantastic on our marble table, despite being slightly more grey than black, and it holds paper towels like a champ! Those metal scraping noises from the old one are a distant memory. But, and this is just a lesson learned on my part I am willing to throw in here for free, you *might* want to consider doing a little something else with it to personalize the whole experience more. Assuming it is also your 1 year anniversary. But hey, you do you! Just definitely do it with this Homeries Upright Marble Paper Towel Dispencer.

Good and pretty product.
My husband accidentally dropped our previous one and the base just shattered so I couldn't measure it. So it's a tight fit where we need it. It has extra base showing with our Bounty paper towels. Other reviews mention having trouble screwing the two pieces together but we didn't have a problem with ours. It went right together snugly. Make sure you check the bottom of the shipping foam. They stuck a second backup screw in it. We're very pleased.

Piece of garbage
Why is every product on earth now a piece of junk? Doesn't anyone take any pride in their work anymore? This thing came with no instructions, but it seemed pretty obvious what I needed to do. Remove the screw (Why was it in there in the first place? A spare screw was just stuck in the styrofoam. Why couldn't they have done that with both screws?), set the pillar into the base, and put the screw back in from the bottom. But I couldn't get the screw out, because the metal thing it screws into was not secured into the stone. It just kept spinning and spinning while I tried to get the screw out. Finally, I pulled the metal thing (whatever it's called) out a little ways and put some Krazy Glue on it. It still kept spinning around. I easily pulled it all the way out, but the screw was still so hard to remove, I had to hold the metal thing with a pliers. So I put glue all around the collar or this thing, and everywhere where it might contact the stone, and put it back in. I was holding it together while the glue dried, when it slipped out of my hands and shattered on the floor. "Well, that's not their fault," you might say. But it never would have happened if I hadn't been trying to fix the piece of junk in the first place! When I spend $22 of hard-earned money on something, I don't expect to spend an hour fixing it, but it was either that or spend an hour trying to return it, and wasting resources in the process. I will be contacting the seller and demanding my money back. I strongly recommend that no one ever buy this thing. Their quality control is obviously so atrocious, it is simply not worth your time to take the chance.

Sturdy and properly weighted
Nice rubber feet under the base and heavy enough not to tip when tugging a paper towel from the roll.

as expected
This is the second one I have ordered because hubby dropped the first. We love the look on our counter and it is easy to use.
