From the Manufacturer The most common bear in North America, black bears are remarkable in may ways. They have color vision as well as a keen sense of smell; can run up to 35 miles per hour; are good tree climbers and swimmers; and can live up to seven months without food during hibernation. Their diet consists mainly of berries, nuts, grasses and larvae, but they also eat carrion and garbage when the opportunity presents itself. While termed the Black Bear, their colors range from cinnamon, to brown, to silver-blue and occasionally even white.
