I just received this on 3/11/20. went to use it this morning for 1st time. plugged it in to heat up for use in 2 minutes. When I picked it up to use, this is what happened. the heat melted off of the plastic handle. very disappointed. I had owned one that was quite similar... simple to use. My other one that was very similar, but different brand, I had owned and used for OVER 20yrs. This one lasted 1/2 day -minus the actual ability to use it. :(Perhaps it was just a fluke/lemon .... returned for a refund.

#On item #5818 I didn't know how short the barrel was on this curling iron and the hot & hotter settings both were much too hot. It was too short and didn't hold my hair well and I actually got a slight burn from it using the hot setting. I can't send it back because I mistakenly threw away the box. I just ordered another one it was more expensive but the picture of looked like it was longer. I suggest that Amazon should advertise the length of the barrel on the curling irons, it would help. I will save the box and send the new one back if it isn't the right barrel size.

Terrible, would not hold hair in cylinder long enough to curl & I could find no way to tighten it. I was out of town for three weeks and by the time I got back I could not return it. Very unhappy

Two heat settings: extremely hot and Luke warm. Very short barrel. The plastic tip gets hot, as well as the handle near the barrel. The swivel only works if you move it manually.

This was obviously another customer's return that was sent to me. Cord was not wrapped properly, just stuffed in the box. The barrel felt like cheap pot metal - very gritty and grabby. Not what you want on your hair. I plugged it in and A: It reeked of someone else's hair product and B: barely got hot.I nearly threw it away. Rubbish.

This is ha rd to use to curl hair. The cord winds up and the stand gets so hot it makes it hard to use. I would not buy this again.

Wife purchased several of these at a time, years later still working, usually springs break and we throw them out.

Best teenie tiny curls. Takes forever since the barrel is really short. But worth the effort if you have the time.
