Anyone know if this will work for hanging up a tapestry?

A tapestry would likely weigh too much.

Will this product work on orange peel/textured walls? I need to keep nail hung framed posters straight. Foam adhesive did not work.

I think this product should work to keep the frames straight, but I don't think it will be able to carry much weight on the textured wall.

It has not in any of the applications I have used it for. It is not intended to be a permanent glue. My first use was to hang small things on wallpaper, and it works great and does not leave any stains or material behind when removed. It is quite a useful semi-permanent way to mount things.. LTH

Can this be used to hold up backdrops on a wall?

Yes it can. You will have to use the proper amount for the weight of the backdrop and space the FunTAK properly. You will also have to find out if the paint/wallpaper/whatever you have on the wall will not rip off when taking off the FunTAK cause it really sticks.
