We Both Read-Endangered Animals Paperback – Illustrated, November 1, 2006

I absolutely love the We Both Read book series!This is a great way to spend time with your child learning to read.One page is for parents and the other is for the child.You can make it a little more challenging as your child's reading level advances having them try to read the parent page.I would recommend this book and any other in this series to everyone with a child learning to read.

We love all of the "We Both Read" books. It is a great chance to spend quality time with your child and learn something too.

Reading teacher recommended 'We can read' books, so I searched on Amazon to find them. They are great for kids that are hesitant to read. My 9 yr old loves the fact we can read together! She actually wants to read now!

My grandson, who loves a different version of "read to me/read to you" books, has no interest in this book. The format is different for one thing, and we haven't even gotten past the first two pages. When the book arrived, I noted the copyright date and checked online re the status of the various animals mentioned--and the status of many of the animals has changed (for the better, thank goodness). I made notes on Post-it Notes and put them in the book and decided that, in a way, the book sparked learning--unfortunately, it was sparked in the wrong person (me vs. my grandson). i had a number of these books on our grandson's wish list but have removed them. He just doesn't like the format (one page per person). He prefers the back and forth in the other style of book. Four stars is pretty generous, in my opinion, but the photos and text are very nice.

Great series for a child whose reading comprehension is higher then their decoding skills. Child reads left page and adult reads more detailed, higher level right page. Fantastic photos too. Kept my struggling reader engaged! Wish they had a lot more titles.

Excellent.. the kids always love to share a book with mum or dad.
