It is the total length from loop to clasp, not the "dangle".

Q: can this be gotten with a lobster clasp?

I have bought many of these. What they show in picture is what you get. I have one on right now and it’s a lobster clasp. Make sure you read all about it.

Q: Is this chain hypoallergenic?

It’s sterling, so not technically hypoallergenic. I’m sensitive to a lot of my sterling rings and earrings, but haven’t had any trouble with this necklace.

Q: I am looking for a ball chain that would hold multiple charms. In order not to stress the chain which size would be best?

I have the 2.2 mm version and it's very sturdy. I also had the same type of chain but a thinner version for about 5 years and even though it was thinner, it was equally sturdy. These chains are pretty well-made from my experience.
