And it's true that they all work. I upgraded to the AXS derailleur several months ago and it shifts so much better than the X01 shifter that came with my Santa Cruz Blur. But the quality of shifting went way up when I put the right cassette on the bike - the rainbow.Fast shifting translates to more power down on the pedals. I was surprised that my daily 1000 foot climb was easily thirty seconds faster. Easily. This thing engages faster. No question. If you're looking for faster shifting with AXS, this is the cassette.Honestly I purchased this cassette for the bling, but was delighted by the performance.Another great upgrade is the oval chainring. I went from a 34 circular to a 36 oval. Minor extra effort, but way more speed, and better traction.https://www.amazon.com/Offset-Black-X-sync-Direct-Chainring/dp/B073S3R8HY/ref=sr_1_11?crid=1839GA6PYRV27&dchild=1&keywords=sram+oval+chainring&qid=1594263077&sprefix=sram+oval%2Caps%2C197&sr=8-11 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mullet for Incredible Gear Range *by E***M on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2020* This is the 10-50t cassette, model CS-XG-1299-A2. There is also a 10-52t cassette. Awesome cassette with 500% range. I put a mullet on my gravel bike: SRAM Red eTap brifters up front, 10-50 Eagle XX1 cassette and an Eagle AXS XX1 derailleur in the back. Shifting is crisp and sweet, and that 50t gear climbs walls. I’m using a SRAM Force 1 42t chainring up front, which is designed for an 11 speed but works fine with the 12 speed AXS chain. That gives me 22 - 110 gear inches, which covers all the bases. Couldn’t be happier, unless I bought the 10-52t version: CS-XG-1299-B1. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It's light and beautiful... *by W***L on Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2019* Got it installed yesterday. It looks even better with XX1 gold chain. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/186155602-sram-xg-1299-xx1-eagle-12-speed-cassette](https://www.desertcart.be/products/186155602-sram-xg-1299-xx1-eagle-12-speed-cassette) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-19*
