Got this board to make a "statement salad" inspired by Rachel Ray. Needless to say the salad and the board were a big hit.

Heavy, very well made and good looking board. Made in USA is a plus.

We leave ours out on a side counter. Little feet allow room for a small stone cutting board and a medium-sized acrylic board to be kept underneath this larger maple one. That way, the 3 boards needed for pastry, chopping veggies & for raw meats are all right there when needed.When serving a buffet-type meal, the tableboard moves to the peninsula where all of the food can be arranged for easy access.This is my second tableboard of this size. The other is at my Mom’s house where it is perfect for big family gatherings.

I know I am going to get years of use out of this and i will be really happy I bought it. But with that said, I almost sent mine back after opening it up and seeing about a 8" wood flaw right in the middle. I would have loved this and given it a 5-star rating if it had not been for for this large flaw. The reason i didn't replace it is that I assumed my probability of getting another flaw on the replacement would be high - and therefore just frustrating. Wood is not perfect. But geez, with a little more care by replacing that one bad board, this one could have been.

This board has so many uses in my kitchen. I oiled it as soon as I received it and it brought out the beauty of the wood even more. Its so solid and the legs are perfect. In my kitchen it sits partial over both my sinks so I have this massive cutting surface for big prep situations. Big enough for two people to chop and dice at the same time. I also use it to serve food right off the counter for casual dinners and for tableside it goes to the dinning room to serve as protection for the table and also makes the food look attractively displayed. It really is sensational.
