This unit was identical to the original. It fit's perfectly. You would be surprised how much dust gets clogged in those heatsink fins after a few years. Airflow gets very restricted (almost blocked) and the laptop starts to run hot. The system will tend to run the fan at higher speeds in attempt to dissipate all the heat. All this heat tends to kill the laptop over time.The solution is to remove the heatsink and the fan and clean the heatsink fins. There is a youtube video that someone posted that shows you how to do this. I changed the fan while I was in there just to be safe. I used some Arctic Silver 5 heatsink compound on the cpu and graphics chip. The new fan is very quiet, the laptop runs a bit cooler and the system is generally able to run the fan at a slower speed after this service. If you have the skills to do this (it's not very hard) you will get more life out of your laptop.

Perfect Replacement for HP Probook 4520s
I was skeptical to buy this at first but since I really needed a replacement fan for HP 4520S Probook, I just went ahead and bought one. I was glad to find that not only did the fan fit perfectly, it has also reduced the temperatures by almost 20 degrees. The original fan that came with the laptop was barely spinning and the laptop would abruptly shut down in the middle of some work after overheating. The only issue I had was with the four small screws holding the fan to the aluminium heat sink frame. They are really tiny and were extremely difficult to put back. Other than that, it was a straight replacement. I am happy with this product.

It works fine and meet my expectation
I recomend this product for replacement because works fine and is very cheap for lap top repair.With this cooling fan my lap top works very well.

Boxed wrong - not what is pictured
The cooling fan I received was not the cooling fan picture and does not fit my computer. Too bad I had my computer apart when I discover this. The cooling fan pictured looks exactly like the cooling fan in my Probook 4520s. But sadly, it was not what is in the box
