Nice convenience, but not a necessity.
I bought this because I wanted a (somewhat) stylish way to carry poop bags. PLUS: If it's always on your leash, you don't forget your bags! The mechanism to tighten or loosen the bags is a twist, which some people using it have found confusing or frustrating, it can tangle the leash a bit if your not familiar with it. Also, my BF didn't like how low on the leash it would slide, so he had to tie a knot in the leash to keep it up higher, closer to his hands. Easy to remove and replace the poop bags. Nice convenience, but not a necessity.

Mixed Feelings - Stays on Leash Great, But Rips the Bags as it Comes Out
I like the concept. It's kind of stealth on the leash and stays in place (on a 3/4" wide leather leash). I guess the weight/thickness of the leash can cause it to sag as some of the other reviewers mentioned or not sag in my case. However, I give it an F rating for dispensing. The center ridge on the clear plastic barrel I think acts as "cutter"? If the two ends are screwed too tight, it ends up ripping and tearing wholes in the bags as they come out. The first bag I pulled out, I didn't even realize so and ended up picking up caca with my fingers. Either that or the bags are really cheap. So I left the ends loosely screwed which seems to help, but naturally you get paranoid of it unscrewing.BTW - the best poop bags I've ever tried are the grey Nature's Miracle ones. Pricy but thick and light scent to mask the smell.

It's not something I would buy again...
Actually, if it wasn't such a hassle, I would return it. It's too heavy and drags the leash down and retrieving a bag is too difficult. I did not realize that the end has to be turned to dispense a bag and then tightened to tear it off. This is a hassle to do while holding two leashes. I have the Loop hanging from the leash handle with a carabiner, but I will likely go back to simply carrying a few bags in my pocket and put the Loop in the dogs' travel bag for road trips. If you have a large breed dog (the bags are big enough) with a heavy duty leash, it might be worth having.

Spindle design is weak and breaks easily
I've gone through two of these, each lasting only a couple months. Overall it's a smart concept and works well with rope leashes as it stays in place. However the "rock hard plastic" seems to be more of a detriment than a feature. The clear portion is not made for wear and tear and is a little fragile. Plus the spindle reinforcement is pretty weak and this is where it breaks.I really wanted this to work, but not into the idea of having to replace it month by month.

Best bag dispenser I've tried
After going through at least six different bag dispensers in the past 2 years, some of which broke and some of which I had trouble finding replacement bags to refill, I've finally found one that works and will last. This product works perfectly. It stays in place on the leash when walking my dog. The bags are easy to remove if the instructions are followed (unscrew the dispenser slightly to unlock the bags and you won't have trouble with the bags ripping as some have reported in their reviews). When empty, the dispenser is easy to refill and uses the standard rolls of bags available in most stores. I highly recommend this product!

broke within a few days of use
This item looks great but is awkward to use. You need to use two hands to twist the tube to release the bag. Not ideal when trying to walk a dog. When trying to break the bag off, my dog pulled on the leash and got away. The dispenser hit the ground and broke immediately.

Bag Dispenser
Larger than I expected....a bit bulky, and bags sometimes catch when pulling them out, which tears them, leaving holes, not nice when picking up piles.

Unique 'Doggie Bag' dispenser
This looks great and once you get used to the weight/feel of it is very comfortable to have on the leash. Bags are easy to dispense (just turn the top, pull out a bag and retighten). Nice change from the typical dispensers you see and so far is very durable.
