we were happy that it included some starter sticks
MY wife wanted these molds for a while we just never seemed to get around to ordering them. So she was excited when i was asked to review it.When it arrived, we were happy that it included some starter sticks, although as others have said there is no sort of recipe or instructions to speak of. The overall concept seems pretty straight forward. I believe she was using a box cake mix from the grocery store. She just googled box cake mix and cake pops, and i guess she just had to thicken it up slightly. spoon the batter to the side without the hole, carefully close the top (with the hole) being sure that they are latched together, and bake. She was able to use the hole up top with a toothpick to check for doneness, although she didn't use the sticks, she's been making little snowmen and such. She said she liked it, it's dishwasher safe so clean up is easy. and it performs as she expected. So 5 stars. This was provided to me to sample and write an honest review. MY ratings never remotely consider that factor, I rely to much on reviews from time to time when buying products to give something a positive rating because its free. However I do consider the list price on amazon for some items to keep it all in context. For instance, you shouldn't expect a BMW for the price of a Chevy. If this review helped you , please click on the little link below, so i know i am hitting the things you need to know and that my reviews are helping people. Works great after a little crafting
I used this for making lollipops. I found it to be quite troublesome. I tried many different kind of injectors to fill the mold, but all of them blocked up right away because the candy hardened in them. What I came up with was screwing a piece of plywood to two 2x4's and drilling holes for all the lollipop sticks. I pour the half with the sticks first, allow them to cool and harden then pour the other half and carefully place the lollipop halves with sticks on top of the other half. They turn out perfect every time now, and since I made the tray to hold the mold it made it 100x easier to prep. The entire mold takes 2 cups plus 1 tablespoon to completely fill.

Good product with the right batter
This product arrived as pictured and in a timely manner. It takes a special recipe to get good results though. Plan to use a dense, rich cake recipe (as for a bundt pan) or a brownie recipe for best results. I used a typical cake recipe and got dry, flavorless pops.Full review with pictures on my blog. >[...]

Good Quality Tray
These are not nearly as easy to bake in as you would think, and the cake pops do not come out in perfect little balls. Other than that, the tray itself seems to be good quality.

Happy Customer
I like the holder. It’s nice to just make up your batter, throw into the holder and bake! Nice!!

Worked Well
I specifically purchased this to make cake pops for a birthday party and it did the job very well. I found it best to grease the pans once... and wipe it off... the don't grease it again. The ability to stick to the mold helps give it the round shape. Filling it slightly less than full was optimal for me. If I filled it I ended up with slightly oblong balls.

Not Impressed!
I didnt like the small size of the cake pops. The silicone would not stay together causing the pops look odd and flimsy. I ended up taking the balls crumbling them with icing and hand rolling the cake pops. I literally was on the point of a nervous breakdown with these trays. And my experience could have just been me. I will probably never use it to make cake pops. But you can probably use it as a chocolate mold.
