When ordering this camera we were a little skeptical that for this price the camera really had an active zoom lens the we could control with our iphone. We had to see it to believe it. But sure enough it worked great! The camera itself doesn't move, but you can optically zoom in and out. What's also pretty neat is that even though the camera stays in-focus all the time, the focus can be tweaked using the phone or DVR interface too. So you don't have to worry about focus or zoom level (like our other vari-focal cameras) during installation. Just get it pointing the right direction and then go back to the DVR to focus, set the zoom level. On top of this you can do a digital zoom too, but this is true of all our regular cameras too. As far as the picture itself, the quality is excellent. Good at night too. We love to watch the occasional raccoon and other animals that wonder into our yard at all hours of the night.

Although the camera is of CHINA origin but camera housing is indeed sturdy (no plastic). Good IR range. The motorized PTZ function also works pretty well. It has several professional configurable camera options as well. The sensor size is a plus as its impossible (at least in my search) to get 1/2.8'' TVI motorized camera at this price. Hoping that this camera lasts long.

A great camera with solid construction! A much better night time picture than the 1080P cameras that came with my Swann TVI DVR. The zoom function works great through the PTZ control of my DVR which was very important to me. I ordered one to try out and plan on ordering 3 more. Even the instruction sheet had detailed descriptions of what some of the internal settings are for.

Just installed this camera to my alibi dvr and it has a very good picture quality and the ptz zoom works great it seems well built for China made as most everything is now days I spoke with the gentleman at wattwire and he was very helpful with my questions and took the time. The only thing left unknow is how well it holds up as it does have a 1 year warranty I've noticed some cameras with longer warranties but not with the ptz zoom which is the reason I bought this camera it works like vari focus but it is done using the ptz on the dvr meaning you can adjust wide view or close up view with just a click of the mouse and it will auto focus and last the night view is pretty good compared to a $200 dollar avtech camera that I have it is a little grainy but I may be able to adjust that out, still trying to figure out all I can do but if all goes well I'll probably buy a couple more.
