Circle fishing hooks are one of the angling industries more recent uptakes in regards to design and part of the reason why they are so effective is that when an angler is using this style of hook they actually don’t need to strike when the fish bite. Instead, you simply let the fish run until the line becomes tight and at this point the Bassfront Octopus Circle hook will generally role into position hooking the fish in the corner of its mouth so not only is an Octopus Circle hook an effective way to fish it also preserves the fish in better condition and shape should you be wishing to return it to the water whether undersize or if you practice catch and release. A Bassfront Octopus circle hook will help eliminate in most cases gut hooking which if a fish is caught and released will have little or no chance at survival. Perfect for striped bass, large catfish, sturgeon, stripers, blues, snappers, king, flathead, channel cats, big carps, and big tarpon, etc. and extremely good for catching snapper & king, which are notorious for shaking themselves off. Bassfront provides two types of Octopus Circle hooks – one type is circle hooks with offset point; and the other one is circle hooks with inline (non-offset) hook point (the hook point is inline with the shaft of the hook), to comply with new angling regulations in some regions like in the Gulf of Mexico, making them legal for use in areas where circle hooks are mandated.

These are not inline or non-offset
From the reviews and product description it’s clear people don’t know what non-offset and inline mean. A non-offset circle hook is in line from the eye to the point. They are on the same plane. The hook bend and hook point are directly in line, not angled to one side. When layed on a flat surface, the hook, in its entirety, is parallel to the flat surface. Inline or offset is not about the hook point. If you reef fish with these in Florida you will be breaking the law.

I like to catch and release
Hooked my first fish in the gut deep in couldn't get it out so I cut the line and hoped for the best.I chose to use other hooks I have, much better for hooking inside the mouth I wont be using these hooks anymore pretty sad feeling.

One of the best non-offset circle hooks that I've ever used
I've fished with non-offset circle hooks for years down in Cabo, and they hook up just fine. Not many brands have non-offset circle hooks and my good bro said good thing about their reel so I would like to give their hooks a try and they do not disappoint me at all. Offset circle hooks worked good for me, and a lot of guys I fished around... Let 'em eat, tighten up slow, and reel...NO hook set. But hey...it's a big ocean...

Great hooks, great price
These are very nice circle hooks. They’re quite sharp and a good value. Besides variety of meats all kinds of different needs. I’ve used them for surf fishing at the ocean and also for catching bass in the lakes. You can’t go wrong.

Good Hooks
These hooks do the job. And they are fairly easy to remove so the fish can be thrown back in the water. The hooks are pretty big, just keep this in mind when ordering.

Ask me after I've used them3
The one thing I don't like is I can't figure out the individual hook size🤣and none of them came with fish attached. I haven't been very lucky lately been doing a LOT of fishing but not much catching
