- Cumaru Wood Frame: Cumaru is a Brazilian Teak Wood that is 5 times harder than pine, cedar and redwood. It ages naturally to a beautiful silver grey and requires little maintenance. Durable Outdoor Ropes: Both all-weather, soft-spun synthetic Polyester and DuraCord 3-ply ropes are resistant to impurities and fading; all while remaining as soft as cotton. Stainless Steel Hardware: We use rust resistant 316 marine-grade stainless steel hardware for our Cumaru furniture to ensure a longer outdoor life. Double-Latch Weave: Individual ropes are handwoven to pull against each other and produce a lattice-like design, eliminating the need for knots within the rope seat. Provides the same long-lasting comfort and support as our rope hammocks. Handcrafted in the Carolinas: Manufactured and assembled in the Carolinas by outdoor experts using the highest quality materials. Care for Rope: Clean with soft bristle brush and water with a mild cleanser or oxiclean as needed. Care for Cumaru: Condition wood with Sunwax to prevent from aging to a silver gray color. Our Deluxe Double Cumaru Rope Porch Swing comes with your choice of two synthetic-rope styles, Soft-Spun Polyester or DuraCord, both made for prolonged weather exposure and resistant to impurities, yet with a softness that rivals cotton. DuraCord also has the added distinction of being incredibly resistant to abrasion, staining and fading — in fact, there's no more colorfast rope on the market today. The wood frame to our largest porch swing yet is a toasted almond-brown Brazilian Teak Cumaru that's been sanded to a soft finish.
