Very comfortable
I have about3 to 4 other small chairs that I bought to bring with me out into the woods hunting. All are compact and light but sitting in them longer than 30 mins gets very uncomfortable or they limit your movement. The hammock chair is both comfortable ( sometimes too comfortable) and provides you with some decent maneuverability depending on the grade of the land. I'd like to see this in a Realtree , Mossy Oak or Kryptic camo patterns... and as for bringing into the woods... its compact and comes with a sturdy carry bag that can be strapped to your pack and not make it cumbersome.

After some mods, I love it!
I bought this seat after using a friend's original Dead Ringer seat. After receiving it, I found the material is tent like. Plenty strong and quiet, but different from the dead Ringer. The cheap plastic buckle is the same as the original, and I didn't like it either, but it did hold my 250lb self! I bought an orange cinch strap for motorcycles. Not a ratchet strap, but a 1" inch strap that you simply pull to tighten. I removed the 2 steel hooks, threaded it through the seat, and use an aluminum carabineer to fasten each end together on the backside of the tree. Cinch it tight, and it ain't going anywhere! I also use a stiff rectangle shape, foam lock on treestand seat cushion with this seat. Not so much for the cushion, but it keeps the seat spread open when you stand up to stretch your legs. That way, when you go to set back down, it's somewhat open. You don't have to fumble trying to find where to set inside it. I have a bad back, so this has become my primary method of deer hunting. It weights nothing, and fits easy Inside my backpack. I strap the seat cushion to the outside of my pack. And I ready to set up fast and quietly. Hope this helps someone make the decision. I'm pleased with the seat.

This specific one has a thinner strap/clip and on second use the clip snapped.
I use a different one of these and love it so I bought this one for my dad. Second time using it the clip snapped. The one I have has a larger strap and thicker clip. This one feels like a cheap knock off.

Cheap buckle
I like the small package and light weight for long hikes into the woods. I don’t like that the buckle broke on the second hunt. 2 hours into my second hunt when the buckle snapped. Now I’m starting straight up at the leaves. It says it holds up to 330 pounds. I’m 230.

Cheap Made
Product very cheap made, will see how long it holds up, material is very thin, telescoping rods are cheap, spring button had already fallen out and had to put back when I received, and the clasp that fastens the strap around the tree is very cheap plastic. Tried to save a little money because I didn't think there could be that much to them but I was wrong, should have stayed with the Hammock Seat. I have had it for 5+ yrs and have left it in the woods from season to season and it still holds up well. Live and Learn

Strap is junk.
The chair itself is awesome. A little cumbersome at first but the more you use it the more you'll like it. The strap that hooks to the tree......I wouldn't trust it to hold up to my 60lbs 9 yr old. It is a cheap plastic quick snap and you will immediately eat dirt as soon as you sit in it. I had to switch mine out with a stronger strap system. They fix that part of the system and you will have a 5 star rating all the time. JMO.

Seat is Nice. Strap Needs Improved
The plastic snap buckle that secures the strap around tree trunk broke in the 5th day of use. That adds a little excitement to your hunt when you're setting in the seat when it let's go!! I purchased an aftermarket nylon web strap with a metal cam-lock closure from McMaster-Carr (picture) and replaced it. Works great now.
