Not bad, but will it last?
I purchased this to use on an original toilet in my house (circa 1964) after the flapper valve (not original) began to fail. The install was pretty easy, took about an hour, but I've disassembled a toilet or two in my day to do flooring work so I may have the leg up on most of you (and I had the right tools.) They are correct that you want to try using your "rubber doughnut" gasket (or buy a new replacement) if possible, as the one that came with the kit was a bit too thick to get the tank to sit property on the "seat" of the toilet. Adjustment was easy, and in fact not necessary as the minimum flow setting worked just fine.My only dislike of the unit is that the replacement handle is plastic, not metal like the original one. Since I'd gladly pay a little extra for a metal handle to keep the original look of the unit, I'm subtracting on star for that.Big hint on the install- wear a pair of rubber or nitrile gloves (surgical gloves.) The rubber seals and gaskets on the toilet which you will remove may have started to degrade, and they will leave black on your hands that is really hard to remove, particularly from under your finger nails. Now, let's see if it lasts. (Seems sturdy enough, but one never knows.)EDIT> THREE MONTH CHECK IN: Unit still operating fine.

One thing I was happy about is that I was able to reuse the ...
I bought 2 of these to replace a pair of HydroRight dual flush setups that began leaking after 3 or 4 years of use. The HydroRight is notorious for leaking if it isn't seated perfectly. This product doesn't have the same issue since it replaces the full drain valve and tube. I found the installation to be straightforward and the instructions to be clear and complete (maybe the instructions were updated based on some of the reviews here that state they were incomplete/confusing). One thing I was happy about is that I was able to reuse the HydroClean fill valve from my HydroRight which helps remove sediment and buildup in the toilet bowl.Good:- Seems to be a more durable/predictable than the HydroRight- Easy to install (it really probably doesn't need instructions for installation)- Easy to configure/setup (the instructions are definitely useful for this step)- Comes with absolutely everything you need to install (bolts, washers, etc)Meh:- More time-consuming installation than the HydoRight (and similar style setups)Ugly:- Not able to purchase just the drain valve

Kit is great! Be prepared for some labor to install it though :)
It's only day 2, but I am very, very please with this conversion kit. I have battled my toilet for years - constantly replacing the flapper, loosh flushing handle, adjusting the lever, & feeling like I'm wasting water. I decided this was worth a shot & am glad I did. You should note that to install the kit you must remove the entire toilet tank to access the bottom. I made the mistake of not having the correct tools, having old plastic parts break, & had to make 2 trips to Lowes. If your bolts are rusted, be prepared! The plastic nut on the bottom of the toilet tank was my biggest challenge & I had to purchase a $20 pipe wrench to get it off. The kit itself functions just as described & the YouTube videos were helpful.

Good, effective product, bad instructions
This is the second type of dual-flush converter I've bought, and I like it better than the Hydro-Right. (The Hydro-right is easier to install because you don't have to remove the tank and replace the flapper tube, but the Hydro-right develops leaks, and may not fit in some short tanks.) This one is easy to adjust, and no more difficult to install than any other toilet-tank repair.WARNING: This product has terrible installation instructions. Major stuff is simply left out. Be prepared to figure things out for yourself. If it had a decent set of instructions, I would have given it 5 stars.

IMPORTANT Measure before buying! 3" center hole only!
IMPORTANT Measure the ceramic center hole in your toilet. If it's 3" diameter this should work. (I'm guessing from the other reviews)Sadly mine is 3.75" dia, so it doesn't work at all for me.Seams like a good idea though, so I hate to knock it hard; but they really should tell you what kind of toilet it fits more clearly.

Not happy
Not too thrilled, lots of issues with this product.#1 - The bottom seal doesn't cover the hole properly = leaks.#2 - Cheap plasticy, will break easily#3 - The bottom seal where the water goes from tank to toilet, does not use a hexagonal nut - removing this after 2-5 years will be impossible#4 - The rubber gasket at the bottm is also smaller than usual and non standard.#5 - The two step flush has a rectangular piece that goes in the tank - which swivels, so the handle on the outside is not " firmly placed. I would have preferred a two button implementation instead.Unfortunately once you go through the effort of unpacking and installing, returning this is a pain. So this goes down the tubes as money waste. I'll be buying another kit to replace this.

toilet flush kit
installed product in three toilets. Appears to work well, great design but only time will tell if product lasts. At this point, I am very happy with this purchase

Did not fit my toilet. Many newer toilets have a discharge hole that is too large for this product. You can't easily determine the size without first draining and removing the tank. The product box should have provided some sort of warning about this and there should be an indication on the Amazon description that it won't fit many newer toilets. It seems to me that it would not have been too difficult to have provided some sort of adapter for newer toilets with the larger hole. Now I have to spend another day trying to get this resolved.
