1.25-Inch 110v-240v Maxstyler Ceramic Tourmaline Ionic Hair Straightener

I have not used it as yet looks, and I hope to use it next - give my hair a heat break

I loved the volume this flat iron gave my hair however I've had problems ever since I bought it.2 months after my initial purchase the ceramic plates were coming out. I returned the product and they sent me a replacement iron. Well then two months later the new iron got so hot it fried my hair and shut off. After this it wouldn't turn back on.Don't waste your time with this flat iron, you'll end up spending more time returning the product than actually using it.

I really liked this flat iron because my hair is very thick and it worked well. "Worked" being the key word there. I've had this product just over a year and it's no longer working so now I have to buy another one. I'll have to go with a different company though because using this once a day, 5 times per week for a year and 2 weeks should not be too much to make it stop working. Purchase the extended warranty if you must have this. Only 2 stars because I didn't get my moneys worth! My CHI lasted for 6 plus years. Disappointed!!

A young friend with luxuriously thick black hair agreed to be our test subject.The unit itself is of reasonable quality. Not industrial grade construction, but far from the bottom-line.The cord is much longer than I’d expect to find in a modern appliance and terminates in a swivel fitting, which is really nice.The power switch faces inward on the handle which makes it somewhat difficult to hit by accident.There are only two temperature settings, one for thin hair, the other for thick.And it works!The young lady who agreed to be our demonstrator is experienced and made quick work of straightening her slightly curled tresses. She said this is as good unit, but wouldn’t give up the product she currently uses.The next person we’ll ask to try this is our granddaughter who has really curly hair. That should be interesting.Jerry

This straightener works pretty well. It's nice that it's thicker at 1.25" wide, so it gets more hair straight. It did well on my dry hair and didn't make it frizzy, but it didn't work as well going from damp hair to dry/straight. My hair is very thick, but this seemed to work well on that. It gets very hot, very quickly, which is also good. Overall, it's a nice straightener and works well on my very long, very thick hair.

My wife loves the hair straightener and works better then the one she purchased at hair salon

Plate came off after 3 months. Would expect. Would expect a better product for the price.

Works ok for hair that's not course.
