Pro-Tip: Try this lightpad flush underneath a glass table, the controls still work
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Fun discovery: I figured the touch button on the pad itself was capacitive after using it for the first time. So I tucked this underneath my crafting table which has bars for holding a light pad and padding it with some old wash towels so it is flush with the glass. The button can be accessed and used normally since it transfers touch through the glass seamlessly. I included a video to show how this method looks in action.I thought I would leave this tip here in case anyone else was using this under a drafting table. I thought it was an neat unintended "feature" of the product.Actual Review: The pad itself is extremely light. I like to draw on it even without something to trace over initially since the surface is so nice (it's glass). Then I use the lamp to iterate over the initial drawing. This is nice for when we are sitting on our sectional and I am starting a new piece. I use this to iterate a design before I move it to vector or digital. My only con is I wish the lamp was a tad bit brighter seeing as it's under blue glass on my table. However, without the glass, the lamp is bright enough. For what you pay though, this is plenty bright. For most people, they won't feel it insufficient for their needs. The other "issue" is that the touch button itself can be a little finnicky when switching between on and off and trying to dim/brighten the display, with or without the glass overlay. It's a small UX issue, but not really a big deal. Unless you are adjusting brightness constantly.

Yes. Buy this. Just trust me on this one.
For under $20 this item far exceeded my expectations. It was beautifully packaged, well protected from shocks and drops with a plastic sleeve inflated with air. The item came with a power adapter and a cool little glove that covers the ring and pinky fingers to prevent smudging the art. The light pad itself works beautifully. Instead of having to choose brightness levels, i.e. low, medium, and high, you hold down the power button and it gets brighter and brighter until you let go. If you turn the pad off, when you turn it back on it remembers the brightness you chose and will be set at that brightness. To turn it down, you do the same thing. Hold the power button and it will gradually dim the light until it reaches your liking. It came with instructions on how to use the item, and included some troubleshooting tips and tricks, it gives suggestions to resolve the touch button's sensitivity, the light source only shining partly or not at all, if the power button doesn't function, etc. It also came with a card that offers an extra month's warranty if you like their facebook page/youtube channel. A few clicks is well worth that warranty (Which is 15 months from the date of purchase, over a year's worth.)Honestly I'm not one for buying christmas gifts, but I have a few artist friends that I'm seriously considering buying this for because its seriously worth the price.

Lightweight and bright
I have not used it much yet, however this is perfect for wishing to better trace fonts and pictures or just have a grid or lines to guide you but not on the final product.. Must be plugged in while using, not a rechargeable battery light.

Wow, great tracing light pad.
Glad I got this tracing light pad...I have the big old square wooden light boxes that uses small fluorescent tubes...an it was a little heavy and bulky, a pain to use. BUT this portable light box is great...I love using it because it is so convenient and it's about the same size as my 11" x 14" tracing pad and just as thin. I would definitely recommend this to any graphic artist.

Works like a charm
I use this light table for transferring embroidery patterns from paper to cloth. Works like a charm! Much better than using a window as a light table. Light weight and easy to store too! That is a plus for my craft room!

Affordable and Useful
I purchased this light table for more than one possible use. I am artist and have for years made stencils of my own drawings to transfer onto canvas or panel. This tool makes it a lot easier to do. It's also great for viewing old slides. I thought it might be useful for backlighting gemstones for photography but this is not the case so any one thinking this might be useful for that purpose, you'll probably have to look elsewhere. It is however, useful for simply examining loose gemstones. The power button does seem rather sensitive and sometimes randomly turns down or off but this is, in my opinion, a minor flaw. This is an affordable useful product.

Awesome light!
Super bright, color temp is 10,000K for those of you wondering. I measured this using a color temp meter. Super bright, f/2.8, iso 1600 1/50 @ 3ft. I bought it to look at slides and sketch.
