I can do my own manis/pedis now!
I really liked this product. I have never used dip before and I have always been trash with doing my nails even with regular polish but it was really easy with this kit. Don't be afraid if you don't get it on your first try, this kit is worth it. I highly recommend the tips below though as i learned through trial and error:- you need to prep the nail well. remove all old polish, shape them how u want, cut the cuticles etc.- when dipping it make sure to brush the excess powder off like 30 seconds after u dip if to allow it to set. I upcycled an old makeup brush that i'm not using for this process- Make sure you get the orange sticks or the cuticle tool to make sure when you are done with each dip you can clean up the sides. Youtube/Instagram shows this step a lot and i find that its a game changer and its easy to do. You can even use a toothpick.- Bonus: you can give yourself a pedicure with dip! Just put ur foot on the paper plate and sprinkle the powder on ur toes! you can fold the paper plate to slide the dip color back into the jar.- Optional: Getting a nail drill helps, they sell inexpensive/ effective ones on amazon, it makes the process go easier. I'm kinda lazy and i hate filing lolI think when the nail salons open up again I am definitely going to go back because i love the nail salon but i'm so happy i have this because my nails can stay done in the pandemic. Also, I have an alternative for when the nail salon is booked or if i want a break from acrylics or need an emergency pedi!!

You will not go to the salon for a mani again!
*Warning* sorry so lengthyI love to keep my nails done. But sometimes I can’t get them done as often as I’d like to, because of my work hours and the wait time with my nail tech. Then the up and coming nail techs are always booked! I made this purchase and I am so happy I did. I can keep my nails beautiful and save money. My nails did chip the first time I tried it, but I realized that I may need to dip more than two times. It all depends on how you work with your hands. The colors are beautiful. I have tried two so far. I can’t wait to change it again. I do wait the normal 2-3 weeks before making a color change. The base, activator, and top coat were amazing! Just remember to always wipe the rim after each use and slowly insert the brush so it want add more glue to the rim. This is so it won’t get stuck. When I first got it I had to bite and twist but now I have no worries. The removal process take time as you have to sit there and soak for about 10-20 min. But once you start the process, drying time is the absolute best! Maybe 5 min at the max! Possibly 45 min from start to finish! Then the top coat gives it that extra pop. Just make sure you apply two coats!Directions and color chart is included! All in all this set is amazing for beginners and I highly recommend! I’m on here for new colors now!

It's not... terrible..
So I got this kit after seeing a few other people mention doing their own dip nails and they turned out pretty well.. and I am terrible at waiting for actual nail polish to dry.. so with this being quick dry I figured this would be perfect. This is a very nice kit and the powder containers are huge. However they containers are a bit too full? The first finger I "dipped" had powder spilling out and I really was trying to be careful.. so just watch out for that. There are also quite a few steps involved that I did not realize. It's not as easy as "paint, dip, dry" like I was thinking it would be...so that was my error.Once I got the hang of the process and the steps involved, I still struggled to get a nice thin even coat. After only a few days the polish would just crack and chip off my nails until I finally would pick it all off. **SIDE NOTE** I also have crappy thin nails that must flex way more then normal or something. So between my thin, flexing nails, and me struggling to get a nice thin coat dipped on, I was kinda doomed regardless..Also I thought that the colors were okay, but judging from their pictures I thought that the colors would be just a tad more different from each other. I know they are nude neutrals but I anticipated them being different enough to try and have one be an accent color.. in my opinion they were so darn close it looked more like you used the wrong color instead of having an accent nail. Again that is just me but I figured I would add that in here as well.So I really cant blame the product, I just have really thin nails. I think if I could have mastered getting a nice thin even coat I would have had better luck. I even watched tutorials to see what I was doing wrong. I tried doing one coat in the middle and then the second coat focusing on the sides.. I tried using an actual battery powered nail file to really smooth it out between layers and still struggled. It just ended up too thick to last. That is why I gave it 4 of 5 stars.. yes the product did work and did what it was supposed to, but as a nail dip newbie, I really struggled.I cant even say that this would be good for "quick nail polish in a rush" because it takes so many steps to paint, dip, brush, paint, dip, brush, file, shape, the activator layer, then top coat layer... like there is no way you could do these in a hurry...Sorry for the long review... I try to be as honest and accurate as possible. Hope it helps you! Good luck!

Not sure what I'm doing wrong
I bought this kit because, like many others, I'm over paying $50+ just for dip nails. I have been doing my own gel polish for years now so I wanted to try this because dip nails at the salon last twice as long as gel polish done at home. I have done my nails twice now with this kit. I followed all the instructions. I read them before I got started AND I watched one of their videos online. My first application lasted 2 days before they started lifting. I thought surely I did something wrong. So I looked up some recommendations and ordered Kiara Sky pH bonder to help prep the nail better, clear dip for extra hold, a powder brush for removing excess dip powder to prevent the nails from getting too thick, and orange sticks to ensure my cuticles were pushed back and to remove any excess base that my have gotten on my skin. After all that, they still only lasted for 5 days. Fortunately I got this kit for 30% off during some Amazon deal so I didn't pay much for it. I'm willing to give it one more try but I'm not sure what else to do or what I'm doing wrong. I really took my time doing the nails both times I attempted them. For now I'm sticking with my gel polish because it's faster, easier, and it will last more than 5 days.
