Great after wisdom teeth removal
I got these to use after I got my wisdom teeth removed. The 4 pack is perfect because I can keep 2 in the freezer and the other 2 on my face. They fit perfectly in the wrap that my surgeon gave me. I love that they can be hot or cold. The cold lasts 30 minutes to an hour and the heat lasts for about 30 minutes as well. I definitely recommend these gel packs.

RIGHT SIZE FOR SORE KNEES AND WRISTS - WRAP IN THIN CLOTH TO AVOID FROSTBITE
For me these are a convenient size especially for sore knees and wrists. Contrary to what I first thought, you do have to be careful even with these small packets to avoid frostbite. Always, always, always, have a thin layer of cloth between your skin and the ice pack; rest assured that it will be cold enough to quiet the pain without freezing your skin solid!

Great size, got them for when I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed. They worked great! Froze quickly and stayed cold for a while. Highly recommend.

Rock solid, unable to use straight out of the freezer
These come out of the freezer rock solid, not flexible like ice packs used for athletic purposes typically are (not a true gel). If you microwave each for 10 seconds, then they are usable. My wife has severe headache pain, and it is not ideal to stumble around the kitchen, go to the microwave, & wait for the pack. If you are able to wait, these will do the trick, and may even be colder than the traditional gel athletic packs, which some may prefer. The size is fine, she just wraps the pack in a scarf around her head and likes being able to move the pack around wherever the pain is without freezing her entire head. These packs are also fine thrown in the cooler to keep food cold. In our case, we will have to buy something different to use for injuries. She also has a McKesson ice pack, which is just what she was looking for, we will get more of that brand in this size.

These do the trick for Mom's nosebleeds
These met my expectations. I ordered them for my 88-year-old mom, who has problems with severe nosebleeds. She is on a blood thinner, so the nosebleeds are often difficult to control. Her doctor recommends that she insert a couple of cotton rolls against her gums to put some pressure on her nasal cavity and then place a cold pack on the bridge of her nose. Together, the cotton rolls and the cold packs have helped her control the nosebleeds without having to call EMS. The individual packs will start to thaw out once they're out of the freezer, but they last a reasonable amount of time and since there are four of them, there is always another frozen one ready to replace the thawed one. And when she's done, she can just clean them and pop them back in the freezer so they're ready next time she needs them.If you think this review was helpful, please click the "yes" button for the question, "Was this review helpful to you?"

Really great cold packs
Really great cold packs. The only complain is that the plastic instruction insert inside the ice pack tends to fold itself after a few uses, and it's annoying because the folded edge creates a hard ridge when the pack is melted.

The return was quite easy, so kudos for that
The return was quite easy, so kudos for that. For starters, two of the four gel packs arrived damaged. Furthermore, these gel packs are simply too small. If you want warm/cool your foot, elbow or shoulder for 10 minutes, you're out of luck. These packs will be at body temperature in 5 min or less. It's a simple matter of heat capacity - these are too small to carry enough.
