You pay more but it’s a better cable. Ferrite cores help produce a clear image with sharp text. I compared this to another cable that was $4 cheaper and the less expensive cable had a terrible picture with ghosting and blurry text. Of course I am returning the other lower quality cables for a refund.Definitely buy this cable from Cable Matters if you care about image quality. It’s more expensive but your eyes will thank you.

I am updating my review of this cable to four stars. Originally, I got a defective cable and posted what you see below. I was very impressed when Cable Matters contacted me and offered to provide a replacement. The new cable works as expected - no flickering or green bars. I would like to commend Cable matters for their excellent customer service, and I would say that customers can buy their products with confidence. I did withhold one star, however, because of the initial defective cable.Original post:This cable is defective. It does not work. The color of the screen flashes to green. I changed out to a new cable and monitor worked fine, so it was obviously this cable. Unfortunately I didn't test it out soon enough so I'm unable to return and out of luck. DO NOT BUY.

To connect my security camera storate to display this cable seems to be appropiate and of better quality. This cable matters VGA to VGA Cable 10ft with ferrites (VGA Cord, VGA Monitor Cable, Computer Monitor Cable, VGA Male to Male) which makes the video recprding very clear. Its easy to connect and clear display helped of delighting view.

Mine went out and was frayed this one works and was a good value for the money. Easily plugged in replacing the old one and we were back in visual and audio mode again for my second monitor.

Have it on my testing monitor for certain older machines that come through the shop. Worked great.
