Good For Fine, Curly, Thick, Hair
I received a sample of this in a Beauty Box months ago, by the time I really knew what it was for and actually used it I had forgotten where I had initially received it. I was new to subscription Beauty Boxes, I didn't even knew that they existed. The first two I even heard about were Amazon's last holiday when they notified me of their availability. I just idly checked out the link and BAM! Thanks Amazon, instant addiction! I bought both of theirs, two other retailers holiday Beauty Boxes, then branched out to some subscription only Beauty Boxes. They all came at about the same time and since it was their holiday boxes, they were all packed excessively with extras. This wonderful Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Anti Frizz Gentle Clarifying Treatment was just one of maybe 30 deluxe assorted samples of liquid product of one sort or another.Once I used it the first time I knew immediately that I had to figure out who I had gotten it from because I wanted to buy more. The smell is so fresh, and citrusy, and natural, that you can tell just by that it is good for your hair. I don't take that lightly. The majority of hair products I receive as samples go immediately into my donation bag for women down on their luck. My hair is extremely fine, naturally curly, and thick, plus I color it to get out those, ummm, nasty later life blonde hairs (much nicer name). Product that works on it and doesn't damage or dry it is hard to find, and I was really worried once I understood what a clarifier was, but I also knew my hair needed it because I use so much product to keep my curls under control. It has no parabens, BPAs, and those other bad chemicals. It is not tested using cruel, inhumane methods, and the active ingredients are citrus derivatives from what I read on the label. I know it leaves my hair clean, shiny, still soft, and curly.I did initially use it per the instructions, which has you use it after you shampoo and condition, then rinse it out, but in my case I felt the need to change the order due to the needs of my fine hair. I completely soak my hair in the shower first, then I use my BN Lemon Rinse Clarifier. It is thick, administer a little at a time until your hair is completely covered from roots to ends in it. I hang my head upside down initially and start at the roots and start massaging it in. Follow the directions for the time to leave in and rinsing. Then I follow up with my shampoo, which is extremely moisturizing, and a following moisturizing leave-in conditioner. My hair looks awesome after using this! In fact I just got this big bottle after finding out who I first received it from, I tried to order it there, they had dropped the entire line. Fortunately I can now get it here on Amazon on subscription, I just used it again after trying to find it for months, I can't stop touching my hair, it's so soft. I will only use this about 2 to 4 times a month, even natural citric products can damage your hair if over used, but if used properly, WOW!!!

WOW!!!
Before purchasing, I asked a question in the “questions & answers” section about whether or not I could use Wen with this. One person replied and only said she “hate it as it made her hair frizzy.” Well, I bought it anyway as that was her experience and she never stated that she co-washed. I do shampoo, but only when I apply Madison Reed color to my hair. For Reference: although I'm black, I do not have the "typical" (stereotyped) African American hair . My hair is S-curly/wavy and fine/medium texture. But I feel that it could work for most if not All if you do not have a lot of buildup, and if you follow with a good conditioner if you get frizzy results. Directions on most natural products can be tweaked according to one's needs and regimens. With my first use, it worked. When I first step into the shower, I rinse all of the water soluble products from my hair that I can, as I never use products with Dimethicone – non water soluble. But I do use silicones and don't flat iron! Then I apply this clarifier to my hair and scalp and clip it up for only a full minute if that. Then rinsed. LO AND BEHOLD….I had the softest, sleekest, shiniest hair! (have a shower mirror) It’s much better than smelly Apple Cider Vinegar, which I tried twice. It has a wonder citrus scent that’s not overpowering. My hair felt soooo incredibly good before I even applied Wen. After applying Wen my results improved even more if that was ever possible. After styling, my hair looked as if I shampooed and I did not lose color!!! Hmmm, I wonder if the Wen models do this?? All I have to say is this: SHAMPOO WILL NEVER TOUCH MY HAIR AGAIN, Bahahaaaa. 😄💖

An effective clarifying treatment to add to your hair care routine.
I'm not sure where I heard about this product, but it's claims seemed almost too good to be true. However, the Lemon Rinse had a lot of reviews that rated it highly, so I decided to try it for myself. It's interesting that you apply the rinse AFTER you shampoo and condition your hair. That would seem counterproductive. But the rinse really does work well when you apply it to your hair, yet it doesn't seem to negate the use of conditioner. Use the product just as directed: apply, let it sit for a few seconds and rinse. I would stick with using it only once or twice a week, as instructed.I've noticed that, when dry, my hair is noticeably softer after I use the rinse. It also feels thicker, though it doesn't seem shinier. But, that could be due to having had my hair permed not too long ago. I'm willing to assume that the other claims on the bottle are true as well, but these are things that wouldn't be immediately evident. They include smoothing the cuticle and balancing the scalp for healthier hair growth.I've used the product for a few months, and have even replaced my first bottle. Although I don't consider it an absolute must-have, it is a useful product that delivers on its claims.
