From the hard water at my new home, my hair was looking straw-like, dull, dry, and my scalp was itching all the time even immediately after shampooing. I tried two other shampoos and conditioners made for hard water, but the scent was overwhelming. I'm allergic to all the chemical fragrances in nearly every product on the market. The companion shampoo really does rinse out the hard water deposits on hair and scalp. Everything I read about dealing with hard water said a conditioner should be used after a detox shampoo because of the drying effect of the hard water. The shampoo is excellent, and this conditioner is the only one I've ever bought in my life that actually delivers with shiny, soft, bouncy hair. Like the shampoo, it is NOT fragrance-free. However, just like the shampoo, the scent is light and very pleasant, not perfumey. It actually smells like grapefruit and DOES NOT LINGER one bit after conditioning.

I did not like this product at ALL. I used the shampoo, conditioner, and after conditioner rinse. Hard water at my new place was making my hair very tangled and gross-feeling, so I read all the reviews of this product and was very hopeful that I would end up with the soft, shiny hair I've always been used to. First, I needed to use double my usual amount of shampoo just to work up a lather, and it did not feel nice on my hair at ALL. Not slick - almost like straw. Then the conditioner. It was kind of thin and runny, but worse, it did nothing to improve the straw-like texture caused by the shampoo. Finally the after conditioner rinse - so runny that when I put it on my head, it ran down my face. Seriously ... when I rinsed it out, my hair felt slightly less like straw, but I could already tell that combing it was going to be an ordeal. When I tried to use my wide-tooth comb on it, my hair was worse than ever - feeling dry, and so tangled I had to use loads of de-tangling spray. I spent ages trying to work it through the mess that was my hair. Finally I gave up and I did an apple-cider vinegar rinse just to make my hair feel somewhat normal. and even then I ended up with a tangle that would not come out without taking the scissors to it. WORST PURCHASE OF MY LIFE. I am sending this back!!!

I have been using these products for awhile now as my on/off shampoo and conditioner and it's awesome. My hair is VERY frizzy, wavy, thick, and unruly, so I switch between a no-lather curling shampoo and conditioner and then back to these Grapefruit Shine Shampoo and Conditioner in between. This product is GREAT with hard water, build up, and does NOT strip your color like other clarifying products. Smell is fresh and natural, and normally I spend about $50 - $100 on a good shampoo and conditioner set... at $24.00 for both, this works like the expensive stuff does! My hair stays clean longer, becomes VERY soft and fluffy (my favorite part), and build up is GONE. I love the natural ingredients and this will never weigh your hair down. I am now a cult follower of this brand and plan to try all of their products.

I received a sample of this product as well as the shampoo. Because it is a clarifying shampoo you need to use a conditioner. Clarifying shampoos strip (detox) your hair of oils and build-up from other products. It is in meant to use every day. This conditioner has a great fragrance and works well with the Detox Re-Nutrient Shampoo, but I only use it once every 7 - 10 days.

On first use--fabulous! My hard water had bad effect on my hair. I used this conditioner this morning and it made a dramatic difference my hair is bouncy soft and full of body. Best it's looked for a long time. My hair is fine and straight.

I have hard well water and just one wash with the shampoo, conditioner, and lemon rinse left me with super soft, smooth hair. It washed away all the build-up from the hard water and hair products. I have thick, naturally wavy, frizzy hair, and this made my hair feel baby soft.

I have hard water/well water and I love the serum and the shampoo/conditioner. Makes my hair soft and not frizzy. I thought my hair was having a lot of dry issues but this shampoo/conditioner make it really soft again.

I don't usually write reviews on a product. I was excited to try this after reading all the positive reviews. I have hard water and really wanted this to help. I used it for two weeks. It made my hair feel worst. I didn't feel like I cleaned my hair.. just as hard, if not harder, to comb out. I have long wavy hair. I noticed while in the shower I was losing way more hair then normal! I stopped using this shampoo and conditioner and will throw these bottles away. Very disappointed.
