Round Fiber Drums With Steel Lever-Lock Tops - 30-Gallon Capacity - 550-Lb. Capacity

Bought this drum to make a pre-filter for my Harbor Freight dust collector. I was using a plastic garbage bin with a rigid top and Rockler Dust Right 4" dust separator components, but dust was escaping from the lid, and the static electricity buildup was annoying (dust was sticking to the outside of the bin) - it was time to change to a better option. This fiber drum is very well made, heavy, very sturdy walls, a tight fitting lid and tight outside clasp ring. I used a Milwaukee 4" hole saw to make the holes in the lid - I should have measured the actual dust separator component first, it is approximately 4.27" wide. I used my Dremel to widen the hole so no big deal. I am very pleased with how my set up works, and with the quality of the drum. I also would like to mention that Industrial Supplies shipped the drum quickly and I received it faster than estimated - always a big plus.

This barrel is exactly as described and in perfect condition, shipped in a bigger box, it arrived early. Will be used in a dust collection system and will be modified to accept two ports through the metal lid.

I use this drum as a part of my dust collection system in my wood shop. The item arrived in excellent condition. The lid was easily modifiable to fit the system.

I bought this drum to use for a barrel walking trick for my dog who is a Papillon and also works for my mini Aussie. Not big enough around for my Border Collie to do the same trick. We covered it with two decorative door mats and it works well. It is sturdy and made well.

Perfect for my shop vac dust system. Use this as an intermediate stopover for chips and sawdust from my planer, router table, table saw etc and it does the trick. I use a turbo top that creates a lot of negative pressure and the barrel does not collapse. Wish I had this sooner.

Not great for dust collection systems. The cardboard sides are too weak and mine caved in very quickly under vacuum.

We needed a barrel for dog trick training...turned on the side, wrapped in a carpet runner, works great.

Arrived a day or two sooner than estimated. Using for dust collection. I cut for a small window (4x6) & drilled some holes, still sturdy.
