It plugs right into most aftermarket head units with a 3.5mm mic port and installs easily with the included clip. Audio pickup is noticeably better than built-in mics—especially in quieter cabins—but it’s not studio-grade.In louder environments or with windows down, it struggles a bit with background noise. The cable length is generous, but the clip could be sturdier. For casual hands-free use, it gets the job done. Just don’t expect premium performance at this price point. If you want a quick, affordable upgrade for clearer calls and voice commands, this mic is worth considering. Just keep expectations realistic. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works good, no echo. *by on Reviewed in the United States January 25, 2023* I’ve used a couple different microphones, this time around I decided to mount it right on the steering column plastic behind my steering wheel and in front of my dash cluster glass. Super easy install, just plug it in and fish the wire around to where you want it, plenty long enough to reach basically anywhere you want.Tested it on a volume higher than I’ll ever go with my stereo and there was no echo on the other end so it works perfect for what I want. ### ⭐⭐ Didn't work as well *by on Reviewed in the United States October 20, 2024* The quality of sounds was still bad in my car. I returned it. ## Frequently Bought Together - Galabox Mic 3.5mm External Microphone Assembly for Car Vehicle Head Unit Bluetooth Enabled Audio Stereo Radio Receiver GPS DVD with 3m Cable Plug and Play - Galabox Mic 2.5mm External Microphone Assembly For Car Vehicle Head Unit Bluetooth Enabled Audio Stereo Radio Receiver GPS DVD with 3m Cable Plug and Play - BATIGE Square Single Port USB 3.0 Panel Flush Mount Extension Cable with Buckle for Car Truck Boat Motorcycle Dashboard 1ft --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/183012292-mic-3-5mm-external-microphone-assembly-for-car-vehicle-head](https://www.desertcart.be/products/183012292-mic-3-5mm-external-microphone-assembly-for-car-vehicle-head) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
