4.5 Stars!!Terrific! Top-Notch Thriller from Mr. King.That was really fast-paced & fabulous thriller/mystery/horror from Stephen King. I'm glad that I purchased this book from Amazon. First I was confused as whether to buy this or Mr. Mercedes but I'm truly happy that I bought this one.The first 250 pages were truly intense & you may not want to keep the book on shelf but keep flipping the page to read what is coming next even if it takes you whole night to read.The characters, the plot, the writing, everything was superb. Though, I've one complain with Mr. King for spoiling some information from his Mr. Mercedes book concerning Bill Hodges. But nevertheless, I'll also read that after some time.Now, I'm waiting for the movie to watch. I hope it is as good as this book was.P.S On my way to purchase all the other King's book which are highly recommended.

It is more intriguing than scary. But still you will be scared to pee with bathroom lights off. My first Stephen king and now i understand why he is so famous.

Can a person be at two different places at the same time? That is what this book is about. The first half of the book was so captivating. I was expecting a logical Agatha Christie style solution to it so, I was disappointed when things took a supernatural turn. The Second half could have been much better. The ending seemed rushed and clumsy. I'd still recommend it to supernatural thriller lovers. The book quality is okay, but the font is too small.

Amazing, one of the best thrillers of all time, the way it is written it will literally keep us up all day and night to know what is going to happen and how will it turn out at the end. Finally able to breathe now after finishing the book or can I as there is a sequel which I need to read now. Character arcs are really good and the chapters are divided really well so that each chapter is a small scene making it easier to read and also keeps you reading faster and faster.Kudos, to Mr. Stephen King from whom we can always expect the best.

Amazing potential and masterful writing unfortunately ends up in an unsatisfactory climax. For words to sum it up - Could have been better.

Man! Finally, I have laid my hand on the most renowned author in the thriller genre, I have grabbed this book to understand, how well Stephen king portrays the scenes, his writing customs and expressiveness.Being a fan of mystery, thriller genre, this might be the perfect book I need this quarantine.

King is back to horror after a slight detour to hard crime and fantasy . This time he is mixing up serial killers with supernatural evil . While the outsider is a fast read and the usual long winded King narrative is missing in this book ( thankfully) there is nothing new happening in this book . Though the reference to Mr Mercedes trilogy characters gives a feeling that the outsider is the fourth book in the series, it is actually a standalone book . One must appreciate that despite writing more than 50 books in as many years , king still continues to enthral his readers . This is quite a feat since many other famous writers - Patterson, Child, Coben, Koontz etc are no longer able to hold reader's interest so consistently despite spending less time in business . Normally being a prolific writer leads to mediocracy but King bucked the trend and is undoubtedly the successor to Poe (and sometimes) Lovecraft

This book is out of this world. Another gripping story by 'THE KING'. His books are just getting better and better. Just so much thrilling suspense unfolding at the perfect pace. For every type of reader. It's another level of storytelling.
