There is a slit all along to bottom for inserting the cables. However, it could be sealed with waterproof adhesive tape, but I can't see that being a permanent solution. Also, the ends would be open (seal with silicone filler?). It wouldn't be a problem if outdoor rated cables are used, as they wouldn't need any waterproofing. **Q: Would this product be delivered rolled-up in shrink wrap packaging or Box?** A: I think this was delivered rolled in a cardboard box but it soon straightened out and lies perfectly on a flat floor. **Q: how does this fix to the floor** A: This doesn't fix to the floor. Its own weight, added to the weight of the cable makes it lay pretty flat on the floor without any other assistance. I guess you could glue it in place, if you were happy that you didn't want to move it at a later stage. Does a pretty good job to be fair. **Q: Can this be used on a woodblock floor without using adhesive?** A: Yeah, I don't see any problems with using it on any floor. The cable sits inside the channel, and the weight of it will keep the cable from lifting off the ground. That said, if it's crossing a busy walkway, there is always the chance that someone will trip on it because it sticks up a few mm.
