Spontaneous combustion
Battery use was going fine for several months when all of a sudden the battery spontaneously combusted. I was carrying the Anker battery as an extra battery as I was going to be out all day. It was sitting in my pocket next to my phone. My phone was not hot at all. All of a sudden I see smoke coming from my pocket. By the time I had figured out was was going on the battery had finished burning through my top and was on the ground. The bottom of my foot sustained a first degree burn (I was wearing flip flops). I threw out my phone case but the back cover of my phone was damaged as well.I've read that sometimes this happens to phone batteries but I've had my original Samsung battery for much longer than this Anker battery and haven't had any issues. I hate to give a terrible review but I was really lucky that I didn't sustain any burns on my hands or the rest of my body.In the pic you can see the hole it burned through my outer garment. If you look closely near the green bench you can see the remains of the burned battery. I was so shocked at what happened I didn't bother to get a close up pic of the battery remains. I hope everyone remains safe while using this battery!

3 hours longer run time over Brand new OEM batter pack.
Even over a brand new battery this Anker cell pack shows extended life and allows me to go at least three hours longer then OEM. I don't run anything in my phones now since I discovered Anker Premium Batteries.

Very pleased with this brand
This is my second order. I needed new batteries and the othe bran I tried didn't last very long. My husband's went bad within the first six months. The company repkaced them, but when mine went bad I decided to try a different brand and went with these. They were working so well that when the other brand's replacements (for my husband) started going I placed this second order for him. I've really had good luck with this brand.

Average Life, for both me and the phone.
I bought this battery as a replacement for the OEM equipment for my GS5. The original battery is about 1.5 years old and wasn't keeping a charge, overheating, just becoming a pain. I've bought Anker products before and thought this would be a good replacement. In the couple weeks I've had it, it has consistently performed as well as the 1.5 year old OEM battery - that is, not so well. I frequently run out of power (<20%) after only a few hours off charger. The other day, I dropped 20% (54% to 33%) in the time it took to go out to dinner with the family and not really using the device as they didn't have wi-fi at the restaurant, this was about 1.5 hours off a charger. Perhaps some of this is because the phone has been upgraded to Marshmallow and battery life is being taxed with the new OS. Hard to say. I have <6 months before the great and powerful Verizon allows me to spend money in their stores again to upgrade so I'll hope and pray that things hold tight with this battery before November.=======UPDATE 9/5/2016=======After a lot of back and forth emails with Anker Customer Support, I can happily say that we've come to a solution. Anker was very responsive in recognizing this review and within a few days was able to send a second battery. I tried that battery for a couple of weeks and realized that it was having the same problem as the first one. Shortly after that, Anker reached out to me again and the resolution was to send an external battery pack to help supplement the phone's battery during the day.Way to go Anker for standing by your products enough to see this to a great resolution. Upping my review to 5 stars for customer service alone. Thanks!

Lost Android Pay - Now Working
The battery does hold a charge better than the well aged OEM that it replaces. How it compares to a new OEM, I don't know. A lot has changed in Android since then, and even how I use it, so it would be hard to gauge. While the battery seems well made, the first thing I noticed was that I could no longer use my phone for Android Pay. This was kind of a bummer to find out in the grocery store checkout as I had gotten used to using it there. I tried it another place as well, and figured the battery had something to do with it. Sure enough, a swap to my old OEM battery got it going again. I'm still using the Anker, but will probably look for a replacement that just works. I emailed Anker support about it, and never heard back.Correction as of 7/25/2016:I am now giving this review 5 stars. I bought this battery because I couldn't find any reason it wouldn't work as a OEM replacement, but apparently THIS one doesn't support NFC communication. The battery needs it's own antenna. Anyway, Anker support contacted me, and after sending me a replacement to this one, which also didn't work, figured out the problem, and send me a third battery which is now working perfectly. The whole time, they were responsive to emails after a slow start, and really, the customer service is top notch. I will look at Anker for future products because they really stand behind them.

Battery was great the first 6 months; Anker replaced it with no hassles.
Battery was great the first 6 months, after that it started going downhill. The battery drains faster than my Samsung OEM battery which is 2 years old.Edit: I gave them an extra star for reaching out to me to resolve this issue (customer service). When its gets resolved I'll update my review. I'm hoping this is just a bad batch. I do have other Anker products, which I have no issues with.2nd edit: Received the replacement, battery and is working fine so far. Anker does stand behind their 18-months warranty, and the customer service is exceptionally good. I'll give them 5 stars, due to the service. I gave the phone with this battery to my parents, while getting a S7. I'll probably get portable battery charger from anker due to the customer service, and that they're willing to back up their products.
