Don't buy this set
The pots and frying pan are very efficient on a gas stove. Easy to clean and maintain cooking surfaces with olive oil. The small frying pan is insultingly stupid in that the handle is too long and heavy. The pan tips over on the burner. Apparently the people who manufacture this product in China do not use it.

A professional grade set at a reasonable price
We purchased this as it was time to retire our 20 year-old set. Very pleased with its performance and surprisingly easy to clean up considering its NOT a non-stick design. May feel a little on the heavy side if you’re use to aluminum lightweight pans, but this is good quality, professional style cook-ware, and well recommended. Only missing piece for us would have been a small1 1/2 qt. sauce pan which were now searching for.

A little disappointed
The item was shipped in its original box which wasn't very sturdy. Every piece arrived dented and scratched. Nice set but expect to have to exchange if this happens to you.

Heavy, nonstick and high heat absorption
The pans are easy are very stable and non stick really. However they are quite heavy, making it difficult to wash etc. Food cooks faster with high heat absorbency. One of my pans has developed a permanent color change to yellow after I heated mustard oil it :(

We are so happy with the Viking pots. A great price - follow directions for cleaning and caring for your pots. They are beautiful. Cooking is effortless.

Amazon description is wrong
As others have said, the description of this set (7 pc) is all off. The sauce pot is 3.4 qt, not 2.4 qt. The saute pan is 3.6 qt, not 3.4 qt. The other two are fine.The bottom of the cookware says 18/10 not 18/0. I don't know enough about this to determine if these are comparable, but the numbers don't match.As cookware is seems to be great, but there are some issues with this listing

Made well in China
Thick heavy pots, should last a lifetime. Cleans well with barkeeper's Friend.

Very nice quality! Not always the easiest to clean but ...
Heavy duty!! Very nice quality! Not always the easiest to clean but I like that the teflon is not in them. I hate the idea of teflon and other non stick materials flacking off into my food.
