Works GREAT, JUST what I was looking for!!!
I did a lot of research & read a lot of reviews before finally taking a chance on this eyelash curler - and it works GREAT!!! I have almond shaped eyes, so my eyelashes don't show very well unless I curl them. I tried everything: curling them before the mascara (did NOTHING), curling after mascara (did a little, not much), tried SO MANY "curling" mascaras (waste of $$$) - and this was my last hope...and it WORKS! Yay! I use it after I have mascara on, let it dry a bit, then curl. When I tried it before putting on mascara it curled my eyelashes, but they were too upright to get the mascara on easily (I ended up getting it all over my eyelids!). Yes, the mascara gets on the curler, no mater how dry it is the heat melts it a little bit but it no big deal I just wipe it off afterwards so it doesn't harden on the curler. And people said it uses batteries too quickly, I don't have that problem (it uses 2 AAA batteries). OVERALL: I totally recommend this eyelash curler to those who are interested in a heated lash curler. Happy shopping!

NOT WORTH $26. ***NO WARRANTY*** OUTSIDE OF JAPAN.
I can only surmise that money is no object for a lot of reviewers--or women are just terribly gullible when it comes to cosmetics. I ordered this after reading the many rave reviews and expected something substantially more well-constructed based on price and reviews. This is the third heated eyelash curler i've purchased in the last couple years. The first two were about $15 for a metal tube with a heating filament. They each lasted only a few months. Pathetic.Thought I'd try something that looked more substantial and might last. The plastic is cheap. It does heat, but not any hotter than the other wand-style curlers I've tried (Revlon and Japonesque). The results are neither better nor worse than the wand-style. If you have short lashes--like me--it is difficult *not* to pinch your eyelid in the process.Wish I knew how long this one would last, and was going to save the packaging just in case, but as it turns out, reading the fine print on Amazon, the 12 month warranty is only valid in Japan. Would not have ordered this if I realized there was no warranty. The packaging and instructions are written only in Japanese. Fortunately, eyelash curlers are pretty self-explanatory.Discouraging that with all the technology available today, manufacturers apparently cannot make a reasonably-priced, durable, heated eyelash curler with any kind of warranty here in the U.S.********UPDATEStopped working the third week after I bought it. What I assume was intended to be an indicator on the front of the curler never did work, but it did originally heat. Though I only use curlers a couple times a week, I figured it just needed new batteries. Nope. Still wouldn't heat. Returned to Amazon.

Lasting curl for my eyelashes!
I had a bone marrow transplant a few years ago, and my eyelashes grew back straighter and much thinner than before. They don't hold a curl from a regular eyelash curler for very long, even when I use waterproof mascara to give the curl its best chance. I used a heated eyelash curler years ago and it wasn't great, but I thought I'd give this one a try and I love it. The silicone pads heat up, but not too hot. It's enough to curl my lashes, but doesn't burn my eyelids. And my lashes stay curled most of the day! Sometimes, the curl lasts all day, but my eyes water a lot, which tends to remove the curl. I'm very glad I got this, and this is the only eyelash curler I use now.

Pretty good, but with some caveats
This eyelash curler is okay. I haven't used it very long - a few weeks, and it is working fine so far. It gets quite hot very quickly, and I am a bit disappointed that others have commented on the batteries not lasting for very long. The curl for me was a not a curl - more like a very sharp vee - a total crimp in my eyelashes. Yikes! I hope I didn't damage them! I tried to very gently file the sharp plastic angle down to where it is not so sharp, and that has helped some, and I will have to practice where and how much pressure to put on my lashes to get a softer curve instead of a sharp crimp. I think one would also have to be careful with the on/off switch. If you throw the curler in a makeup bag, the switch may be turned on bumping against other objects in the bag - but I guess now that I think about it, that could happen to any hot curler.

Hitachi heated eye lash curler
It has a on and off switch which is a nice feature. You do not have to hold while heating which is very nice. I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 stars which the reason why it does not fit over the eye as well as it should. So it feels weird. I have used heated eye lash items before and I am replacing a broken one. It curls very well of my very straight and stubborn eye lashes. However the instructions and warranty is all in Japanese. If they are going to sell this product over seas they should have instructions in English too. since English is the international language. I already know how to use a heated eye lash curler since I have already owned one and bought this to replace it. But however their are consumers that buy products that do not know how it works. That is how owner manuals and instructions help.

Fast should not be in the seller name
The product works great! Just as I would expect and better than the one I bought previously that just pushed my lashes up. Quick heat up and just seconds to curl. The down side was it took FOREVER to get here, so much so I requested and received a refund through Amazon but reversed it after the item arrived and I tried it. I ordered it on April 12 and it didn't arrive until July 6th. Even with all the pandemic it was an extremely long time and I was concerned it was lost. But once it arrived, it was worth the wait.

Won't every purchase another
Flimsy and not worth the price paid for it. Batteries run down and it does not curl lashes which is the thing it is supposed to do well.

Useless
This eyelash curler is very poor quality and it didn't give me the desired effect I needed at all. I tried it a few times and gave up on it; total waste of money. I usually heat up my regular eyelash curler with a blowdryer and then use it, which is tedious so I have been looking for a good heated eyelash curler but this one doesn't curl your eyelashes any better than a regular unheated eyelash curler.

Work well. Easy to use. Good quality. Arrive promptly.
This is a great little heated eyelash curler.I bought it because it looked very similar to a Revlon curler that I had for many years- so many years that when it eventually stopped working and I tried to order a new one, Revlon had stopped selling them. I was very disappointed since I could not find anything similar anywhere and though they were no longer being manufactured. In the meantime I had bought a very inferior and cheap-looking one which never worked very well and stopped working completely after a couple of years. Then I spotted this one on Amazon. It looked identical to the Revlon one I used to have in everything except the colour. (The Revlon one was silver grey. This shimmery pink is much prettier.)I have been using it for about a month now and it is working fine. I am more that satisfied with the performance. The item was carefully packaged and arrived quickly from Japan. The accompanying instructions for use were in Japanese but the English version can be downloaded from the internet. As it turned out I did not need them because it works exactly the same as the Revlon one I used to have.Overall I am very pleased indeed and I am considering getting another one as backup just in case they stop making them.

Just as good as Carmen ones.
I have used the Carmen heated eyelash curlers for approximately 20 years plus, originally purchased from Boots. My 2 year old son broke them by standing on the delicate top bit so although they work they don't squeeze together very well anymore. I assume they would of carried on lasting for many more years to come therefore I was gutted to find out that when I went to replade them they no longer made them. Unless you want to spend a fortune on EBay.I have purchased some other ones which were absolutely rubbish and subsequently returned. However when these Hitachi ones arrived I was amazed at how similar they are to the Carmen ones. In fact I would go so far as to say there is absolutely no difference whatsoever except for the colour. So if you are like me and looking for replacement Carmen heated eyelash curlers I can highly recommend these, exactly the same shape, build and quality and what's better they are pink, not just pink a sparkly pink. In my opinion that makes them just as good if not better as I like a bit of pink in my life. Please see photos for similarity.

A bit small...
I'd like this better if it fit my eye--it's too small, so I need to use it 3 or more times per eye.
