Great Machine!
We bought this mixer for our winter+ home in South Florida. We have owned and used a KitchenAid mixer at our primary home for many years, and it is a great machine. We have several attachments, but the ones we use most are the meat grinder and the pasta maker. Freshly ground meat is so much better and fresher than store ground for burgers, meatballs, etc. This machine is refurbished, but I cannot tell it from new. It looks new, and runs like new. Actually, it came with a 6qt. bowl, and the motor is higher watts than advertised. Great value, and great machine.

very nice mixer!
after reading a few reviews on the recoditioned mixers i did not know what to expect from them, but the price could not be beat. so i pulled the trigger on this one. not only did the mixer look perfect right out of the box, but it works great as well. i really dont know what the people were trying to do when they said this thing doesn't have the power for heavy work. nothing could be farther from the truth. i have used thos thing at least once or twice a week, and it has done every thing i have asked it to with out any issues. i can't say it enough this is a very good mixer!

Baking Nirvana
I'm very happy with this mixer. Regarding it's refurbished status: it's hard to tell that it wasn't brand new when I opened the box, other than the stickers in the manual reminding me. It works every bit as well as I expected from a Kitchenaid. In the past week I've run it through it's paces pretty good: I've whipped eggs, mixed some medium thick batters for cookies and scones and made two batches of yeast bread dough, the bigger using eight cups of flour. Thus far it's worked exactly as described in the manual. One thing to note: despite the Amazon warning to the contrary my unit arrived with the flat beater, the wire whip and a powerknead dough hook.Other than discussing it's refurb status what else can I say about this mixer that hasn't already been said? It's an awesome tool but it won't help you much if you don't already know how to cook. It's not a bread machine minus the heating element you still have to pay attention and there is a learning curve. However if you're already a fair hand in the kitchen it will be an immense help for a variety of chores and will make it easier to bake more often. For me the biggest advantage, especially with yeast breads, is that using this mixer for kneading is a lot less messy than doing it by hand. For a regular loaf of bread the mixer probably saves me all of ten minutes of actual cooking time compared to hand kneading but saves a good half hour in clean up time. That's a huge amount time to save in the evenings after work.I'm really looking forward to trying some of the attachments available.Cheers,Josh

Awesome
Was a little skeptical on purchasing a refurbished item such as this but I can honestly say it's awesome! I have no complaints. It looks great and works even better and at a fraction of the price!

no strat
if it had a good switch it might work good.

Works but is very noisy. Will have to be repaired immediately upon receipt.
The media could not be loaded. It definitely does the job, however it is a bit cloud when mixing anything. The motor squeals and sounds like it is struggling to mix a thin cake batter, let alone when we tried to make a bread dough. We have had it about a week and have to call support to get it looked at.

Didn’t know I needed it
I was looking into vegetable shredders (I do have a food processor) but wanted something super easy to clean and first came across an attachment for this machine. Then I looked into KitchenAid mixer. I cook a lot and don’t bake much so I never even thought I needed it.Omg my life has changed. I use it to mix my yogurt with protein powder, oats and collagen powder. I make 10 portions at once, add fruit and store in mason jars for grab and go. Used to measure and mix by hand, but this machine makes food prep a snap. 5 minutes and I’m done! Also shredded chicken, chicken and tuna salad (I add a lot of veggies), meatloaf or anything that required even mixing. I’m in love!
