Definitely recommend for brush-hating cats!
My cat hates being brushed. It doesn't matter how gently I brush her, or which brush we use (and we've tried many!), she will not allow more than two or three strokes. This leads to getting mats, which have to be shaved to prevent irritation or infection of her skin. I first saw a glove similar to this and thought it was a great idea, so ordered one. My cat tolerated it, but the "bristles" (for lack of a better word) were way too far apart to pick anything up! I'm guessing it would work for a dog, but not for a short-haired cat. When I saw this glove, and the picture showed the majority of the "bristles" to be much closer together than the other one, I decided to take a chance & give it a go. It came today, and my cat LOVES IT! Although it doesn't end up with much fur in the glove, I can see that it does brush her fur sufficiently to get any loose fur to come to the surface, which I can then easily pick off of her by hand. This cat is incredibly loving, yet became furious every single time I had to brush her, and she didn't want me to stop when I used this! After a few strokes (it's just like petting her!) I stopped to gauge her reaction... and she rubbed her head on the glove and indicated for me to continue! I was able to brush my girl for even longer than necessary, just because she enjoyed it! My ONLY complaint is that, again, it doesn't really seem to capture much of the loose fur in the way that a brush does. This means I have to wipe or pick it off the top of my cat's fur. It's fine, but would be 5 stars if it caught the fur like brushes do. Still, if your cat hates being brushed, I highly recommend you try this!

Great for grooming and baths
I bought this mitt because of having 4 cats. 2 long hair, 1 short hair and 1 medium hair. 3 seriously hate being brushed and will bite the brush if I even try to come close to them with it. This has helped them to sit still a little longer to be groomed and thankfully because it is a mitt I am not being nipped while trying to groom them. One of the perks to this mitt is that you can get all around the cat, under the belly, the tail and legs- a brush is really hard to get all those places if you have cats like mine that will nip you for trying. This also works well at bath time and my cats all hate baths and on occasion I have been bitten or scratched during a bath but mostly my cats are pretty tolerant of me soaping them up in the tub- plus I use this mitt to help soap them.Cleaning the mitt is a little harder because the hairs stick to both sides. There's a fabric side and then the nubby side for grooming. Hair sticks and clings to both sides so it a little work getting the mitt clean. Otherwise it fits great on my hand (a little big) but does the job I need it to go.

Appears to be a good glove for dogs but too big for smaller cats and maybe small dogs.
I have mixed feelings about this mitt. One dog loves it, in fact I just used it a few minutes ago when we came back from a walk and he had found something deliciously disgusting to roll in. It obviously didn't help with the smell but did remove the bits and pieces that had adhered to his fur, thereby keeping my bed a little cleaner than it would have been. My other dog just isn't sure how she feels about the mitt. She submits to it but doesn't really enjoy it yet.My unhappiness with the mitt is that it's to big to easily use on my kittens. The other point is that it is being marketed as a grooming mitt but no hair adheres to it. Maybe since both my dogs have short hair, it's not a problem with the glove itself by with my use of it.Being left handed I appreciate the fact that it works with either hand as finding one that does isn't easy.

My cat tolerates it for a minute or so ..... sigh
I thought this would be the answer to my cat who HATES to be groomed ... well she tolerates it for a minute but that is all ... The glove is one size fits all and if you have smaller hands it is pretty big ... I was hoping to trick my cat into thinking that it was just my hand petting her but sadly she is no fool! I'm still on the hunt for some kind of glove that she will let me "brush" her with as a straight up brush is out of the question!

Kitty bliss glove
Purchased to groom a cat who doesn't take to regular, stiff bristle brushes. (He likes them fine, but only to chew on...) Although he's still a little suspicious of the point of this big fingerless hand with the rubber bumps, after the initial shock he definitely allows us to groom him with it more than he will with a brush. But our other cat (who loves to be brushed) absolutely adores the "full body" grooming effect of the mitt and enters into an altered state of bliss whenever we use it on him. It is rather large but there are straps inside for the human to grip, which are great for shaping it to fit the contours of the cat. It's a little difficult to clean out the accumulated fur but that could just be because we use it and other brushes so often there aren't massive clumps of matted fur to clean out, just fine strands, so once we reach critical fur mass it should be easier to do.

Was concerned about my cat accepting grooming as she was a rescue and very nervous. But she laid there while I used this mitt and even purred. It is a bit big for my hand but I was able to adjust the wrist strap so that it worked fine. The mitt collected a lot of hair this first time and I look forward to using it again to hopefully get her more used to grooming and to eliminate even more hair from this long hair cat. Thanks.

The Absolute Best !!!
I have bought so many grooming mitts over the years... I thought they were all the same but I was so wrong! I will never buy any other brand because this one is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I have 5 rescue dogs and they live inside as our "children." Four of them sleep in my bed...did I mention that 4 are Pitbull mixes? Anyway, even though these dogs have short hair they still shed. I am thrilled that this mitt removes hair from my clothes, bedding, and furniture! I use it every morning when I make my bed. Oh, and it removes hair from the dogs, too. : )
