REVIEWING: Trusted Organics Collagen Peptides Powder- Unflavored, 0.5 LbWhat I most respect about this company is that nowhere on the product label does it make any health claims at all. They do provide a “Typical Amino Acid Profile” analysis which is helpful.While Collagen supplements have not been conclusively proven to enhance health I did see improvements in my nails years ago when I took collagen so I am excited to try this product and see if it helps now with my nails, skin and hair. I’ve researched it a bit and found out the following:* Collagen from Marine Sources (this product is from fish skin) has been shown in a few, limited, studies to have greater bioavailability (ability for the body to absorb it) than bovine collagen.* Collagen from fish skin is primarily Type I collagen which is believed to improve the uptake of moisture in skin and improve hair quality, in particular.* It is a fine power that mixed well in my smoothie.An easy way to add collagen to my diet. I'm giving it a tentative 4 stars and will revisit this review after having taken it awhile, if appropriate.

I can tell my skin and hair have changed even though I didn’t expect to see it. I took it with water, had a sort of slight taste but nothing that wont be undetectable in coffee or tea, so very tolerable. I've been using this Collegan for a few weeks now and noticed I have lots of baby hairs, nails are stronger, and skin feels better. I have been putting one scoop of Vital Proteins in my coffee every morning for the last month. I started using it in hopes it would help my skin and hair, as my friend said it has for her. And it has. But the most amazing thing to me is what it’s done for my lashes! I did not expect this at all and it took me a minute to figure out what was making my lashes so full and long.

Entirely by accident, I discovered about a year ago that collagen helps with joint pain, and I've been using it ever since. I didn't like that the brands I used were derived from bovine sources and that the plant-based "collagen booster" brand didn't work. Enter this marine-derived version (from skin, not scales.) I find that this unflavored collagen peptides version has less smell and taste than the bovine unflavored versions. I was afraid that it would smell/taste fishy, and that's not the case at all. Unfortunately, I also discovered that this one is much more difficult to dissolve by stirring into my morning coffee; it takes about twice as long as my usual brand. This Trusted Organics collagen powder works better in a smoothie when the blender blades can whir it into the ingredients.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

My wife likes to take collagen in her coffee in the morning... Its said to help with skin and nails.This is a very finely ground powder, more so than the brand she normally uses. It delivers the collagen, but compared to the brand she normally uses, there's a little more difficulty getting it to dissolve in the coffee. It only takes a few extra moments of stirring to break up those "bubbles" of collagen pockets, and when they do break up, they're quickly absorbed by the coffee, but expect to spend a few extra minutes stirring to make that happen. Otherwise, it is tasteless and of course, provides her with collagen she wants.

Growing old is not for the weak and loss of skin elasticity is part of the aging process. This is actually a pretty good deal. One of the few collagen supplements I have found that only recommend 1 serving per day. So with that in mind know that this has 30 1 scoop servings. Pretty nice and the price point makes that even better.I used this by adding it to a daily flavored shake I make. I mixed it by Blender and by Hand shaker cup. In both cases this didn’t gum up / leave clumps of supplement powder balls in my shake. Also, this didn’t change the overall flavor or texture of my drink. I did add this to just a flavored water and shook by hand. It did somewhat change the flavor but not in taste it was a bit “thicker” and I could tell something had been added to the drink. It wasn’t something i will repeat with this powder.Overall, doesn’t have a flavor and is priced very well.

Good Quality; Poor Dissolvability...Product is made without fillers, binders and comes well packaged. Like any health food, it will take time to see if it is helpful for me. It does take some effort to get the product to fully dissolve; which, I think could be better.

The media could not be loaded.  I've been using marine collagen for a couple years now and this one doesn't disappoint.It mixes very easily into liquid. Depending on how you put it in, you may need to squish some pockets of it with a spoon but it should be expected when you're mixing a powder with liquid.I have put it in my cup and stirred it while the Keurig made the coffee (if you stir it right away, you make almost a slurry which helps to mix in). I've also added it after the coffee was made - both ways work but I prefer the first.My skin and hair are feeling the benefits of this powder, as do my nails.It is TASTELESS. I drink it with black coffee and there's no taste or sludge afterwards so it's mixing really well.I also drink it with cream in the cup.
