I originally bought a nice floating shelf, about 7 inches deep, with the hdmi and power cables in the back, it was a no go. The wall anchors pulled out and the shelf tilted after one month. So I went on Amazon and settled on this item, I'm very satisfied. It is a sturdy mount, it will hold least 10 - 15 lbs. The nicest thing about the unit is the ability to adjust the shelf depth and the width. This is a fantastic idea. I currently have my blu ray player sticking out sideways from the wall, the shelf adjusted perfectly for the unit and supports it wonderfully. The design and look matches my wall mounted Sony flat screen, it would match most any tv on the market.
