Does exactly what it should. Purchased to detect wooden joists on a wall I needed to drill for putting up a TV. Found it no problem. Great purchase

The stud finder was well packaged. Instructions were not clear, possibly suffering from translation. Device wasn't tested on stud but could not detect a live cable on a surface run. Item returned without any problems. I ended up buying Draper 13818 Combined Metal Voltage and Stud Detector - which is brilliant.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. For timber it finds stuff that isn't there, and misses wood that is. It seems to be find with live electrical cables. With metals it gets confused by the aluminium covered membranes on the external walls though. So, not impressed, although this machine works better than the much pricier Bosch equivalent I had been using.

Instructions arent that clear. Does not work on artex ceiling didnt seem to pick up the beam in the loft we was trying to locate so it was a trip in the loft and a lot of shouting left right etc etc. I should imagine this will work perfectly on a nice flat surface. If it does then a bargain for sure

It is easy to use spot on finding wooden beams and wires and value for money

The instructions were not clear, very poorly written. The device located electrical wires which were not there (doors and window frames!). Very unreliable!

So easy to use, great tool will be used often

I bought it for a future project so I have not used it or tested it so far. Hopefully it will do what I require it to due
