67% tortilla, 23% ground-beef style "egg" goo and 10% sausage "pellets" - all hand made and completely free of any flavor!
The directions on this product indicate 2 ways to cook it - Microwave until "hot and soft", or cook at 300°F for 35 minutes in the oven. I opted for the real oven, because I like a crispier tortilla, and we all know what a microwave does to tortillas. Anyway, the burritos cooked fully as expected, but this is where things turn bad.The egg and cheese filling in these burritos has the consistency of coarse ground beef with no seasoning, accompanied by weakly flavored sausage "pellets" that resemble something you might find left behind by a rabbit, goat, or a small deer. You do the math on that one. Mostly, however, this is ALL tortilla, with some kind of egg and cheese-ish flavored goop that holds everything inside...You'd think that for the huge list of ingredients that there would be some flavor in this thing, but it is VERY mild. I couldn't detect any pepper whatsoever, and even the sausage pellets were weak. Tasted more like TVP than sausage to me.After attempting to feed 1 to my wife, 1 to our housemate, and 1 to myself, my wife and I decided to analyze what I had just done to all of us by having a closer look at these disgusting things. The published ingredients are as follows: FILLING: Whole Eggs, Sausage (Pork, Salt, Spices, Dextrose, Sugar, Maltodextrin, Natural Flavor, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate), Three Cheese (Pasteurized Process American Cheese [American Cheeses {Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes), Water, Milkfat, Sodium Citrate, Salt, Sodium Phosphates, Color (Annatto and Apocarotenal}], Cheddar Cheese {Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes, Annatto}, Monterey Jack Cheese {Pasteurized Milk, Cheese Culture, Salt, Enzymes}, Onions, Green Chiles, Green Bell Peppers, Contains 2% or less of: Modified Food Starch, Vinegar, Water, Flavorings, Salt, Red Chile Peppers, Red Bell Peppers, Citric Acid. TORTILLA: Bleached Wheat Flour Enriched (Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Water, Soybean Oil, Contains 2% or less of: Salt, Baking Powder (Corn Starch, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Aluminum Sulfate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Emulsifier (Guar Gum, Mono-Diglycerides, Rice Flour), Guar Gum, Sodium Metabisulfite. You'll have to refer to the pictures of the dissection to really appreciate the fully processed nature of this product, shocking as it is. I started with a frozen burrito and thawed it out in the microwave to make it soft enough to work with.Next, I weighed the whole burrito, taking out the weight of the paper plate and came up with 6.40 oz. The published weight on the packaging is 7oz., but there is obviously going to be some slop here.I then extracted the "filling" from the tortilla jacket, scraping off as much cheesy-eggish goop as I could from the tortilla.* The tortilla weighed 4.25 oz., or 67% of the total product weight. WOW. Have a look at the picture showing this thing unwrapped.* The "egg and cheese filling" came in at 1.50 oz., or 23% of the total product weight. This yellow goo has the consistency of ground beef!* The 16 Sausage "Pellets" came in at 0.65 oz., or 10% of the total product weight. These tasted more like TVP pellets than sausage.NOT good at all. I made the mistake of feeding 4 of these atrocities to my family this morning. I'll be feeding the other 8 to the trashcan this afternoon.Have a look at the pictures below and see if these call YOUR name...

Absolutely disgusting
These things are terrible. Bland “Sausage” pellets, cheese goop and what seems like rehydrated eggs. Never again

Almost $7 a pop?
Best burrito i've ever tasted. Period, no BS. I use to buy em at Walmart and local convenient stores. That was 2 months ago.Since then I've moved and unfortunately their no where to be found🤣.Someone told me hey....try Amazon. I did and just seeing wrapper made me hungry.BUT THEN...............I saw the price, whoa! Almost $7.00 EACH in a case of 12. Free shipping woopy!2 months ago I bought them for with tax $2.89. Ok, free deliveryspoke to my UPS STORE SHIPPING would be $12. So we take that off the price and we pay $6 each. Hey Don, pssst, thats still more then double then the $2.89 I paid just 2 months ago. Ok. I get it, Don has to pay Amazon and business is yatta, yatta. Well, they WERE AMAZING!KEY WORD:Were....no comes close to the home made taste they have. In otherwords no competition unless of course you try El Monte brand that between you and me.....looks like dog food. That company put all the ingredient except for the tortilla in monster blenders that spew out like, hmmm, ever change a diaper. You got it! Moral of the Burrito is only greed can stop great food from being eaten......If you come across particularly their breakfast burrito you'll see the individual ingredients not well you know.....
