I think it's made well. However, I'm rating it a 3 star for cost. The cost of $50 for it is ridiculous. That's like $20 over competitors products which I'm sure are just as good. I've bought shelves for my house that have cost way less and held more.I bought this one because of the size and how it hooks on. I would have also liked choices in size. Something a little wider and longer would've also been good for me. I probably wouldn't have even needed wider if I could've have longer- like one that would've gone across 3/4 of the area. I have it facing into the bed at the foot-board area. I had to buy a separate hanging bedside caddy organizer bag because his books don't really fit in this very well. He's reading a hardcover book right now that isn't big but it doesn't really fit. I do like the "box" construction of it- the lip all the way around, vs more of a flat tray.
