Great fit on pelican style case - not for luggage ...
Great fit on pelican style case - not for luggage since shackle is so thick. Easy to program. Dials work smoothly. Seems well made. No idea how destructible on indestructible these are - but would buy again.

These are wonderful locks. Very durable
These are wonderful locks. Very durable. They fit the pelican gun cases perfectly. The only downside is you can accidentally reset the combination and that can be problematic.

these locks will disappoint you. I do like the heavier shackle though
I had high hopes for these locks.....but unfortunately they didn't hold up. I bought two sets of these to put on salesman travel cases and a lock from each set failed. If you're a road warrior, these locks will disappoint you. I do like the heavier shackle though.

These locks look sturdy and well made
These locks look sturdy and well made, but alas this is not the case. I purchased four of them to secure two pelican cases, and one fell off before I made it to my first destination! Later when packing for my return trip another one managed to scramble it's own combination. The process for setting the combo is a matter of unlocking the lock, pulling the clasp out, rotating 180 degrees, pushing it back in, and rotating by 90 degrees. This is not something that would be likely to be done by accident; and certainly not something I attempted to do while on my trip. Fortunately for me that bag was already packed, but it took some time to figure out what the combo had morphed into once I got home. The real kicker was on another lock which was one of two securing my larger case on the return flight. Both locks were opened by TSA using their key (and causing the alert to be set). That's not the problem. The real problem was that one of those two broke during this process and consequently when I received my bad that lock would not open when I used the combo. I noticed this before I left the airport, so I went to the TSA station and even they couldn't reopen it with their special key. I had to have them cut it off just so I could make sure nothing was actually missing. All told, these were a waste of money and massive source of frustration. They served no better purpose than if I had simply invested in colored zip ties.DO NOT BUY THESE!

Solid except for the dials
It certainly feels solid, but after two plane trips, the combination dials started slipping. If you pull the main body a little while turning the dials, they will start to sip rather than turn the locking teeth. The end result is that a different combination opens the lock than what I set. It happened twice. Both times I was able to patiently sit there and go through nearby combinations to unlock. The second time was at home and after that I've put the lock aside. Unfortunately, I can't tell who caused the dials to go slightly out of whack: me, airline baggage, TSA.

Solid, secure, if you have a Pelican style case, this is the one
This is not your typical travel store TSA lock. For a small lock, the shackle takes up every space of the locking tab holes of a Pelican 1510 case. It is hard to imagine a more solidly built travel lock. The 1/4" shackle is very solidly held in place, the combo dials feel like a quality piece. I ordered two to try, just ordered two more for other cases. I have been very disappointed in other locks, with thinner shackles. This one could actually deter intrusion where others would quickly fail. It will certainly not fit every application, so know the diameter of the locking hole of your gear. If this fits, buy it.I also give high marks to WCP LabelValue Labels & Travel Products who fulfilled this order. The shipping was free, fast, traveling cross country in just 3 days.

Nice locks.....heavier shaft than typical TSA locks.
I was looking for a TSA lock with a heavier shaft, something more substantial and these fit the bill. The quality is nice but the number wheels are a little sloppy and feel like most other locks. Good buy, should last a long time.

Lightweight
Not very sturdy for air travel. I used these on. Pelican 1600 and 2 locks were destroyed by Delta in 4 flights.
