Split Roller 110L - Black, One Size

Fantastic piece of luggage. I bought this to replace a DaKine 85L roller that I bought in 2017, and never let me down. That bag has life left in it, too, and I still use it on occasion. I love the design, durability, and "store flat" functionality of this roller. I travel about 9 months of the year and typically take 80-100 flights annually, and I trust this bag to go the distance. Exceptional value comparative to some other outdoor brands that offer similar products.

The DaKine split roller is a great bag for those who need to bring lots of equipment. Easy to maneuver, just right weight and size, made well and, importantly, the wheels are replaceable, which comes in handy to make these bags last for years.

This thing is massive. I took it to the BVI for a 2 week sailing trip so I packed floats, food, candles…heavy stuff. It wasn’t quite full but felt really heavy. 49.3 pounds. (Yes, nailed it!) I’d read that it would fit ski gear (clothing) including boots and it will. It has great compartments, smooshes down well for storage and stands up on its own if packed evenly. If you don’t want a massive bag get the smaller one. This bag is for long trips or trips where you’re bringing gear. I wouldn’t use it for a European trip because it’s so big And getting around could be tricky (but then I’m a 52 year old female without tons of upper body strength). I really like that it’s black. Had looked at Patagonia which my co-sailors used but the colors were yuck and I’m glad I chose this one. My friends liked it a lot too. By itself it’s lightweight but you could pack it over 50lbs if traveling with more stuff than clothing. That said I think ski clothing, apres clothing, slippers, shoes, toiletry bag and ski boots would work under the airline cut off of 50lbs.

Third Dakine bag of this style. Most have lasted 18-24 months of very heavy travel. The first two died from the same issue, the fabric damaged on the exterior at the bottom. Third bag, less than a month with two flights and a road trip. Love the split duffle design with zipped compartments. But for the coast and lack of durability I’ll go back to a competitor product that I used heavily for tube years.

I bought this Bag in 2021 and paid 100 EUR , i cannot believe is now selling for almost 300 EUR. The bag is big and quite handy, but the quality is not that great and i dont think they have improved it. The textile surface is getting ripped very easily in the corners and on the sides.

Trolley bellissimo e molto pratico

After using the bag once a tear in the fabric appeared. I travelled by train and the bag have not been through rough treatment. Just poor quality.
