Great short stories
I love that each story is only 25 pages give of take. It's great to read these side stories of primarchs more day to day. If you're reading the primarch series you should read this too.

Every story is actually new! You won't be re-reading any stories with this one.
Black Library is fairly well known for releasing short story anthologies. They are also known to use recycled stories from audio books and magazines in these anthologies. This results in a waste of money if you are someone like me who reads nearly every release. Scions of the Emperor (thankfully) contains NEW stories about the Primarchs (exclusively) and each one left me with a smile on my face. Only thing I would mention is there isn't that much action in this collection by Warhammer standards. There are certainly battles but they are not usually the main focus here.I do recommend this for any fan of 40k lore but would not recommend it as your very first 40k read. It does assume you already know a bit about the universe and the Primarchs.

Good reading
Good short stories. I like 40000 work. This is another one I enjoyed. Read it and have a good time..

Better Angels makes the whole thing worth it.
Anything with our glorious, perfect, and beautiful golden hawk boy is just amazing and seeing him interact with his gene son shows why he is loved by all.

Well worth a read.
The book consists of 8 short stories all fascinating in their own way and give insights into the primarcs. Well worth a read.
