Not good
Low budget system priced way too high....Let's get to the good:*Holds quite a bit of water, so you can put in a few gallons and not fret for days*Simple set up out the boxThe Bad:*The system's controls are not very user friendly and I do not trust them, there is going to be a lot of trial and error to get the right times (I might just set it to manual and put it on a plug in timer*Terrible "misting", it's more like a rain which only is getting a certain spot. I am going to change my nozzles for better ones that are supposed to fit and can work with low pressure systems*As per my above statement, the unit claims to be "high pressure" but I am unable to find ANY information about the true PSI for this systemBasically, the system works to a degree, but is too much for system filled with problems or potential problems. Spend the extra to get the base King Mist system and you will be better off (even if it is more set up work and you still need other items to buy like the bucket.Edit: I ended up returning it back to Amazon. I just couldn't trust it and for the price I want an item that is going to be great right out of the box and last for quite some time.

Don't Trust The Built-In Timer, Buy a Separate Timer
First of all, the built-in timer never worked from the start. Never. I had read other reviews where the people had just plugged it into a separate timer, so I did just that and it has operated well for 5 months. I would not trust the built-in timer and I would keep your reptiles safe and buy a separate timer. I purchased my timer at Home Depot, and I recommend NOT getting a digital timer but getting an old school, reliable one that you have to push up the tiny pieces around the circle to determine when things shut on/off. Not high tech, but much safer than the quirky digital timers you can get. Also, the sprayers have clogged a couple of times so I have had to unscrew them and blow in them hard to clear them out. ALWAYS use just distilled water. And they still clog occasionally with distilled water. All in all, I feel that this brand of water mister is OK for the money, but be ready for just average quality and PLEASE do not trust the built-in timer on this device. Plug it into a separate timer.

This unit only recommends distilled water or RODI water but your not supposed to use that kind of water with amphibians
This product works well (mechanically) but it specified that you must use Distilled water or (Rodi) Reverse osmosis deionized water. The problem here is that if you are keeping amphibians like salamanders and various frogs this system will saturate them constantly with the distilled water or Rodi water. This type of water will actually rob the animal of crucial electrolytes and cause death to your animal . On the other hand if you use dechlorinated tap or spring water the unit will eventually cease to function properly as the calcium or hard metals in the water will clog the units nozzles . I learned this the hard way

Just a little too soon to rejoice
I had a problem with the first unit having arrived cracked. The exchange went smoothly though it did take a little bit of trial and error to figure out the most optimal settings for our panther chameleon. Thanks to the numerous previous reviews I carefully sifted through, it looks like we have finally figured out how to keep the unit running as it should. We do consume about a gallon of distilled water a week considering we have the unit on a 12 hour on/off cycle and settings at 20 seconds every 2 hours only. For a unit that runs six times a day, I find that in my opinion, I am using up water a little too quickly. Stay tuned!UPDATE:Aug. 27 2012.True to my previous title, TOO SOON TO REJOICE, indeed. It just quit working today. The light stays on but nothing....no hum, no spray...nothing. It won't cycle, it wont spray constantly, it just does nothing. I read everyone's previous reviews so I took their suggestions. I used distilled water so that the tubes wouldnt clog up with cholorinated tap water, I poured the water directly onto the reservoir and not through the little opening so that the motor wouldnt short itself out. And I only filled the tank to half its capacity. I took away 2 stars from a previous 4 rating and that is only because it lasted me 6 months. The damn thing still broke after being so careful. I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!SEPT 13, 2012Amazon was great. I got a full refund...even after 6 months. I'm still looking for a good misting system, though. In the meantime, its spritzing with a water bottle for me!

works great so far-then it flooded
This unit was very easy to set up. Just plug in a few pieces of tubing, and stick the suction cups to the glass. Add water, plug it in, and it is set to go. I have it for a 18 x 18 x 24 exo tank for my gargoyle gecko. The mist is a fine spray. It does not seem as if you can adjust the spray pattern. The 2 joints on the sprayer (comes with 2 sprayers and 2 spare nozzle ends) allow you to position the spray where you want. The water tank is a smokey gray color and 2 gallons of water come about an inch and a half below the top. I don't know why it says that the tank is only 1 gallon. It isn't. So far I have no complaints, but if I do... it will be added to the review.November 12, 2013. Unit is still working great.August 1014. Well, it finally happened. On a random day, it decided to flood the tank. I found my gecko cowering at the top of his tank with about an inch of water at the bottom. Luckily, that was all the water it had. I only kept about 4 inches of water in the unit, just in case it flooded. I used only distilled water, and I left the black cap off since some people suggested the unit built up too much moisture and messed up the electronics. We did not have a power failure and I added more water about 3 days before it flooded. I have gone back to spraying the tank on my own.
