They are not easy to use, but they are not impossible either. If the back of your shoe is more than 1/8" you will have to open the horn up by grasping it facing down in your left hand, placing your thumb and index finger on the sides of the narrow part and using your right hand to pull down on the wide part. Do the reverse for the other shoe.Leaving them in your shoes solves the storage problem and like any horn they help put your shoes on. Wider would be better. They look durable and should last quite a while with normal use.That cute yellow stripe shown in the picture? I ain't there, but for $2 a piece I won't complain.
