Ice Skating Spinning Turnboard Trainer Device for Practicing

I am pleasantly surprised how accurate this feels when working on skating skills.

My daughter loves this and her spins have definitely improved. It is easy to pack in her bag and take to the rink for off-ice and she uses it around the house also. Very portable. She thinks it is super fun.

Solid, does not flex and has a good rocker profile. Can be slippery on tile and could damage finished wooden floors if dirty so use carefully. Works on thin carpet as well which is a good way to start. To mimic the slip of wheels (roller skating spins) it slips on tile easily but slips in all directions so ensure you have your other foot ready to put down. Compared to another option I tried, this is better and seems like a copy of the popular Edea spinner.

Bought this because I had just spent $50 on an aluminum ball-bearing spinner that works great on carpet and my kid needed a durable hard plastic spinner for her figure skating class. I couldn't imagine paying 46-50$+ for an EDEA, so I got this one...it's great because it spins super smoothly and stable (if you know what you are doing) on HW floors...i wouldn't recommend this spinner on 12x12 ceramic kitchen/bath tile because that's not a smooth surface and it could damage the spinner. It's a heavy material which is a little bit heavier than an EDEA that I saw in her class. The only con I will give is that the graphic coloring is dull...could be much more vibrant but for less than $20 it serves it's purpose and will last a long time as I read other reviews of the other style of curved spinners are prone to breakage, which this doesn't seem like it would crack easily.
