Pro's and Con's - Don't waste your money
This is the first and only Resin printer I have so I am not comparing it to anything else and some things I mention may be normal for all printers.*Edit* I've changed my rating, description at the end. *Edit*Overall this is a good printer. However, knowing what I know now (as with everything), I would get a slightly more expensive printer with a few more options.First, I got this and I think it was used a time or two before I got it, maybe tested. The vat (FEP) had a foggy film on it, which wiped off easily with an alcohol wipe, and a screw was loose on one of the fans. Otherwise it was fine.Pros:This prints excellently using Chitubox as the slicer. Can buy Parts/Accessories like Extra Vats from maker. But they come from China so it takes a while. I bought 2 extra vats so I can switch resins with ease (Transparent and non)Price is good. Though you can buy cheaper from manufacturer. I didn't because I didnt want hassle of broken machine arriving and dealing with weeks longer of no machine. This paid off because Amazon damage my original shipment in transit. This was a pain to fix, but if it had happened from manufacturer I would likely still be waiting for it to come in.Uses multiple types of resin well (As I would expect). I have used Sparkmakers, Anycubic, and Elegoo resins. Each print REALLY well once you have the settings down.It is fairly quiet. My FDM printer makes a WHOLE lot more noise, and it is a pretty quiet machine itself.Vat Design for changing the FEP is quiet nice. I have read and heard that it must be tight so it works as intended. I was kind of worried about getting it tight when I changed one for the first time. But I just hand tightened it and put it together. As the Vat goes together it tightened the FEP perfectly. This has a Bluetooth/Android app that works quite well (mostly). This was one of the selling points since it didn't have a display screen. (Also see Cons). The app however has a nice status screen and other nice features (which is how I found my screen wasn't working without the SD card plugged in -- See Cons). You can choose files to print instead of having to use only the print.fhd file. Other features are still iffy as it will pause a print for me, but not unpause it, I have to go to the printer to hit the button to do so.Cons:I have to have my SD card in the machine when I turn it on, or the LCD will not work. Everything else works fine including the backlight.Next, the SD card Slot is flawed. The slot opening is over sized, especially below the slot itself and you can get the card pushed in under the slot itself without any effort. Yes I did this thinking it was going in correctly but realized it wasn't, in time.Overall Design has some flaws. Nothing that would cause me not to buy it but is worth mentioning. The Bed leveling screws are too low, so tightening them is a pain for the first two until you can raise it and get them all tight. Then I have to double check that the bed it level. This also allows resin to get in the screws and around them. This makes the screws really stiff when tightening and untightening them. The screws on the bed also get a brownish residue on them. I am guessing this may be rust but I don't know. If so the resin eats away at the screws and when I clean it before switching resins they get water on them and rust while drying. If the screws were another half inch or so higher none of this would ever happen.Does not have leveling screws for the whole machine so it needs to be placed on a (near) level platform. I doubt this is standard on lower end machines, but still it really should be a must. The lid just sits in place on top of the machine. There is no ledge for it to sit down on to hold it steady, thus you don't want to accidentally bump it, not that it would likely cause any problems. The bed could be beveled/sloped at the top so the resin drips off instead of laying there. The bluetooth range is only between 15 and 20 feet, so I cant go upstairs or even 8 feet into another room/behind a wall as it will disconnect.*Edit Below*Adding to the Con'sThe Z-Axis is only held together by plastic so the stability sucks. To adjust it screws on the bottom have to be loosened, but the slots for the screws are too small so they were threaded by the screws when originally inserted thus making the adjustment ridiculously stupid. This whole design is flawed and prone to failure anyway as the Z-Axis has screwed in extenders instead of protruding out and securing externally. This binds the extenders and the screws easily which happened to me trying to get my Z-Axis to stabilize.During my time trying to get the Z-Axis to stabilize I ended up ruining the LCD screen. It now has 2 big roundish spots and several lines in it with ruined pixels. So I now have an expensive paperweight as Im not wasting any more money on fixing it when I can wait for the new Elegoo Saturn. Also one of the internal fans is going out already.Basically the whole thing is made cheaply and any deviation will screw it up, from the outside case to the build plate structure. The only exception is the Z-Axis itself which is all steel with a brass coupling nut.

Excellent upgrade to the SparkMaker Original
The media could not be loaded. As with any Resin Printer there is a learning curve, but the SparkMaker FHD is definitely a welcome upgrade from the SparkMaker Original.Additions include: Higher resolution, Anti-Aliasing, Bluetooth and Android app. While Bluetooth is a little spotty at times it's one of my favorite new features. Being able to place multiple print files on the SD card, leave them with meaningful filenames, instead of just "print", and selecting what file you want to print from the App is very nice. No need to pull out the SD card after every print, run up the stairs to place a new print file and back down to insert back into the printer. Just open the app, select your next file and print. Not only is the resolution of the FHD increased to 1080, but the print size is also larger than the SparkMaker Original so you can create larger prints with an exceptional level of detail. This is an excellent printer to get started in Resin printing, just ensure you research Resin printing, purchase gloves, cleaning supplies, and locate an area with plenty of ventilation (possibly an air-purifier).(I have also started using a Wifi SD Card to allow transferring of print files wirelessly and reduce physical interaction with the SD Card as much as possible.)Highly recommended!!

You Do Not Get As Much As You Pay For.
The precision of the prints were never good. After just a few months, the card reader failed. SparkMaker sent a new main board to fix the problem. While replacing the board, I was disappoint with the construction of the system as well. Shortly after replacing the board, the laser failed. SparkMaker got to the point that they would not help me any longer.

Great printer for miniatures!
I bought the SparkmakerFHD during their Kickstarter. I couldn’t believe that it was possible to make an SLA printer for less that $300–when at the time, a printer that I was considering cast about $3,000!I am a 3D designer and sculptor, and I use my SparkmakerFHD all of the time to prototype the miniatures I’m working on. These gnomes that I sculpted were printed on it 😎
