If your Artificial Lawn is installed by a professional Artificial Grass company, your grass is generally brushed up with the use of a high powered industrial gas driven hand held power brush. These gas power brushes are heavy, cumbersome along with being very expensive. (In excess of $ 500.00). Although they perform the same service they are not specifically designed for artificial grass and can possibly damage the spine of the grass making it less resilient to standing upright. There are several other ways to brush up your artificial grass pile, first of all you can brush up the grass the old traditional way, by using a medium soft bristle brush/broom. By manually brushing with a medium soft bristle broom, although this will help keep the pile upright and debris free, this can prove to be rather hard work and straining. Or, now you can make life a lot easier and use the our TurfGroomer Artificial Grass Care Tool. You can purchase extra batteries at heartlandamerica, extra battery part # 56820

10 year turf looks like new
I have a 2,500 foot artificial turf installation that is 10 years old. It was groomed professionally the first three years but then the installer never showed up again. I was starting to get weeds because dirt and debris had built up on the turf. So I bought this TurfGroomer to do it myself. It took three days to do it because of the short battery life and long recharge time - but now my turf looks brand new. This tool is easy to use...I'm a small 74 year old woman and I had no problems. My only complaint is that the amazon description said it came with TWO batteries and mine arrived with just one. When I messaged the company about this discrepancy they said it was an error in the description and it comes with just one battery. They said I could send it back if I wanted. No - I want to keep this because it does a fabulous job. The problem is the battery runs for only 20 minutes which is just enough time to do 400 square feet. Then you have to let the battery cool for 30 minutes before you can even start recharging. It takes 4 hours to recharge which means even when I started at 9 a.m. to groom my turf I could only do 1,200 square feet a day. Also you can't use it when the turf is wet and here in Western Pennsylvania we have had a LOT of rain. But now my turf looks new. Many neighbors have complimented the look of the lawn. Some asked if I had had new turf installed. One guy with whom I discussed the battery issue said it probably would not be a good idea to have a second battery and run the turf broom for 40 consecutive minutes as I might burn out the motor. So - I will live with having just one battery. If you have artificial turf I highly recommend this product. I hope my TurfGroomer lasts a very long time.

extremely weak battery
takes a 4 hr charge and lasts for less than 10 minutes. Does about a 10 square foot section before battery dies out. total flop. works well while charged. no adaptor to connect to power cord. give it a .01 out of 10.

Wish it had a better battery, but so far so good
Been looking all over the place but didn’t want to spend thousands on an industrial grade groomer. Thought I would give this one a try but was debating for a bit due to the negative reviews. I went ahead and purchased it anyways and would say I was very pleased with the results. I only have about a 1000sqft area of turf and was able to brush about 90% on one charge (about 15 minutes). Not bad for turf that was matted down for close to 2 years and now looks like new after one brushing. Ran it again after about an hour of recharging and finished the rest. I’ll bet after using with more regularity it shouldn't take much effort and 15 minutes would be all you’d need. I would only recommend for small to medium sized areas. Anything more would require an extra battery. Only four stars for battery life but so far so good.

Would be perfect if 2nd battery was available.
like how light,it is, ease of use, cordless, runs on rechargeable battery taking us to what I really, really don't like. Battery works for very short time before needing to be recharged and after months of looking have not been able to find a duplicate spare.

$$ Down the Drain
Ordered this neat looking product the day we ordered our artificial turf, 6/16/20 even though our turf install date wasn't until Sept 8th. First groomer arrived without a battery in a broken box. I had to spend an additional $38.49 to return it to them so they would give me a complete product. They did. I was SO looking forward to using it regardless of reviews on short battery life and no option to buy second battery. Yesterday I tried it out. Worked great, but did a very small section of my small back yard. Undaunted, I recharged the battery intending to finish back yard today. Switch on Groomer is broken. Can't find the company. No longer available on Amazon. $391.91 down the drain.

Great results that take a bit of time
My 1,100 sq ft artificial turf putting green is 12 years old. It has been a number of years since it has received proper maintenance, including brushing. Moss had grown over many portions of the green which made the green difficult to use and unpleasant to look at. After reading a few reviews, I decided to give this brush a try. I'm very glad I did. After spraying the moss to kill it, I brushed the green and it removed the moss which had grown into the nap of the surface. I also purchased the Grandi Groom AB24 Carpet Rake, which worked well to take on stubborn areas of the surface. The brush was not difficult to use and restored the green to a very usable surface and removed the unsightly moss. The only issue that prevented me from giving the brush a 5, is the battery. The box clearly states about a 20 minute run time, which I found to be reasonably accurate. After the battery runs down, it takes 30 minutes to cool before charging can begin. The charge cycle takes a good four hours and instructions advise to remove the battery from the charger as soon as fully charged, so I could not just leave it charge overnight, etc. Although you can tell when the unit is running out of juice, its performance is still good right to the end of the charge. It took me 5 charge cycles to complete the green which required a very hard brushing to remove the embedded moss. It took only one charge to do the entire collar around the green which is longer nap material (more like a lawn area) and the brush did an excellent job on this area.Overall, I would recommend this unit for regular care of artificial turf. If maintenance is done more regularly, the battery issue should be less of a concern.
